“Mm… Working on it. That’s good- I don’t know if I can help with it, but if I can… just let me know.” He responded a touch awkwardly. Llewellyn realized they were kind of starting off fresh here, and it probably seemed a little odd to her to have someone worried at all… But he had never been good at minding his own business, or following social standards…
And it was good that Llewellyn didn’t know or understand enough about how this all worked to have realized how much of a time crunch his friend might be on. Otherwise, he would probably worry more and be more of a nuisance to her on the subject.
Instead, he nodded as she responded that she felt better knowing what he knew. “Of course, I, um… I would be happy to tell you more if you need to know anything else. Well- provided I remember… I don’t always have the best memory at times, it’s why I tend to keep so many notes.” The detective responded with a little shrug. Her feeling better about all this was important, after all. He couldn’t help what he knew, and she seemed to get that… But that didn’t mean he didn’t understand how unsettling that might be.
Though a clumsy smile crossed his face as she spoke again, seemed the chocolates actually did work… Just not in the way she intended for them to. “Well… Whether you meant to say it or not, I confess I’m glad to hear it?” He popped another chocolate into his mouth and considered that for a moment. “I know it’s not the same as before, even if I sometimes find myself forgetting that- but! I um… Would like to be friends again too.”
And at least this also meant she seemed to trust him more. That might settle Rhy’s nerves to hear. The man was very displeased and worried over the original implications of the tracker she’d put in his hand.
