into the woods
Who; Cassandra Tyra and Uldren Sov
What; Exploration!
Where; Outside of the city, checking out the forest.
When; Time is the pyre on which we burn
Warnings; They've both got foul mouths...
The Euthanatos was waiting.
At least that was something she was good at; predators usually were. Not that it was specifically prey she was waiting for. But he'd be along eventually, she knew. With the certainty of Fate.
Cassandra snorted to herself a little, not bothering to hide her amusement. It turned into even more of a grin as the Awoken male stepped out of the city. She picked up the bag she held, and slung it over her shoulder.
"Took you long enough," she teased. Likely he wouldn't get her sense of humor, but it's equally likely that she didn't care.
For Uldren's part, his upper lip lifted as if he'd smelled something foul, orange-gold eyes narrowing as if to ask the Euthanatos what in the hells she was doing there--not that he said a word. He didn't need to, really. Cassandra just smiled anyway--a Cheshire smile, to be sure, but a smile nonetheless.
"I'm coming with you," she announced. He rolled his eyes, heaved an obvious sigh, and turned to head towards the woods, still without a word. Cass just fell in not far behind him. At least she wasn't cheerful enough to hum a tune as they walked deeper into the shadowed forest...

Lips pursed, she nodded. "We did, yes." Pausing. "Probably forty-five minutes ago, as I reckon the sun. Are we going in circles?"
She hadn't thought so, but this was an unfamiliar forest--not that everything here wasn't somewhat unfamiliar, in truth, but this wasn't like the other forests she'd been in back home. It tasted, mentally, a bit more like her mother's Bone Grove. Just something familiar in the way it acted. But that wasn't possible, so Cassandra brushed it off.
"Maybe we ought to try a different direction, next time we find a fork?" Though gods knew she'd be annoyed if they passed by that stack again...
