(ooc: Hello! I am happy to say Mono saw one of your characters memories if you tag this, because I think he probably would have run into a lot and not known what to do. I just picked through a few that I think would grab his interest to start from the lists people provided. This is also a good place to have your character approach him about seeing one of his. They can even talk back and forth about each other’s memories if we want to say they both saw each other’s.)
[Mono was…
Well, he was panicking a little.
Or a lot. It was hard to tell with him sometimes, most of the time he expressed vague discomfort and an honest opinion about something he didn’t like.
Today was a little different. He’d been running messages for work when all this started, and at first it hadn’t been too bad. Confusing, yes, but not too bad… But then it started to pile up. Too many memories, too many feelings that didn’t make sense to the child. He doesn’t like it, not one bit. It’s hard enough to try to figure feelings and how things should be, without this.
And he was pretty sure he wasn’t supposed to see any of these things. This all felt like it was private. Private thoughts. Private feelings. Experiences that if he were these people? He’d want to forget they happened for the most part… The bad ones, at least.
So he’d halted his deliveries in a panic and found a place to hide until it all hopefully passed, but he had questions… Oh boy, did he have questions.]
I don’t know what’s going on, but I don’t like it! Where are all these things coming from? Why’s the sky throwing other people's thoughts and feelings at me?
[The static interference is a lot stronger today. So perhaps it was easier to tell he was panicking. Mono’s emotions were not in check.]
It feels really bad to see all these things! ‘Cause I didn’t mean to look at people's thoughts, I don’t even mean just the bad stuff! [A pause and his tone gets very dark as he mumbled.] even if I’m really mad at the stuff I saw happening to my friends… I want bad stuff to happen to the person who was mean to Tommy and also that creepy guy with Illyana…
But even the nice stuff…?? Some people come from such different places, even from here and it’s… It’s all so weird and confusing?? Some people aren’t even the same as they are now, so I think they were older… Like Mr. Rhy was really small in one of the ones I saw! Like me! But not… It was really nice, like a castle in the fairy tales. [A pause,] And some of it’s not even really people?? Just feelings? Aren’t these things supposed to stay in our own heads, not in crystals?
[Another static filled pause occurs as something crosses the boy's mind…]
And I don’t want people to see where I’m from.
[Because no one should see that place.]

And it all… It all works for fun stuff and doesn’t make anything bad happen when your friend uses it?
[Televisions were a very large part of Mono’s power, yes, but they also were… A source for very bad things in his world. It was why sometimes the child had a hard time not wondering if he was bad and if that was why people in his world got so upset when he was in the area.
He would definitely try to remember the offer later, but at the moment the kid was extremely curious about this whole ‘video game’ thing and its relation to the television.]

[Ignis didn't quite understand how yelling at one's character improved a situation. Especially considering that one was controlling said character and therefore any mistakes made were one's own fault.
no subject
[Yes, the child was dead serious about that.]
You said it was a game, though. Isn’t a game supposed to be fun and not yelling at it? Unless that’s part of the fun?
no subject
[Ignis smiled at hearing Mono's question even if he had a feeling the boy knew about things like that.]
I'd imagine to Noct, yelling at the game is indeed part of the fun. Different things amuse different people I suppose.
no subject
[ He definitely knew about things like that. Both having seen people crawling out of televisions, and used them for getting around himself. ]
I dunno if I understand yelling being fun, you gotta be careful about yelling in my world.
[ Yelling at the wrong time could be rather dangerous. You had to time things and make sure it was safe. Otherwise, you found another way to signal someone if you weren’t working alone. ]

[Mono's words gave him a far more grim picture of what life was like. And all it did was make Ignis angry but he kept that to himself, long having schooled himself as to how to look and act as if nothing was amiss.]
Fortunately we're not there, but should he ever show up here, I will certainly introduce you two.
[Noctis would definitely get along with kids since he had that mentality half the time.]
no subject
[Though he knows that it’s a hope that’s unlikely by this point, thanks to this whole stupid crystal memory thing.
Mono wouldn’t mind meeting more people. At least the people who arrived here seemed pretty nice. Even if someone prone to yelling at stupid stuff seemed a little concerning to the kid, that would mean one more person for the list of ‘should keep an eye on to make sure they don’t get in trouble’ if it ever happened.]
Yeah, it’d be cool to meet more people, you know, Mr. Ignis. Maybe I could teach him not to yell at silly stuff.
[Weird ideas from a child with odd priorities, perhaps.]
no subject
Indeed. If Noct does show up here some day, I will be more than happy to have to be a good influence on him. He could certainly do with more of those.
[He could only imagine Mono admonishing Noctis in a polite way not to yell at things, even if video games weren't a thing here so that wasn't going to be something the boy would have to worry much about.]
no subject
Yeah? I can definitely do that then!
no subject
[These thoughts amused the strategist to absolutely no end. But then again it would be good for the king, because in turn Ignis planned to tell Noct that he needed to be a good role model for the boy. It would be beneficial to them both.]
no subject
[ Good job, Ignis. You have effectively distracted the kid from his angry panic attack from earlier. Mono was quite taken with the idea of being a good influence on people. ]
If my friend ever shows up, I’ll introduce you to her too!
no subject
That sounds like a good plan then.
[Not that he knew if the king would ever show up here. However that last bit the boy said was rather touching.]
I would love to meet her if she shows. So please do bring her by.

[Of course Ignis would welcome the two of them and at least he'd know if they'd eaten properly. And another thought crossed his mind.]
And there is another matter of discussion. I am working on a garden at my home. So you and if your friend should she show can help me figure out what flowers look best there.
no subject
[Six could use some good adults in her life, just as much as he could. She always seemed pretty hungry too, so Ignis’ cooking would probably be good for her. Though the mention of flowers gets a curious tilt of his head, he had a hard time imagining Six in a garden… He kind of wondered if she’d ever seen flowers before either, since he didn’t know where she’d been before he found her trapped in the hunter’s cabin. If she had been anywhere else at all, the kid was pretty sure it was bad.]
I dunno if Six has seen flowers. I know I hadn’t seen many before arriving here… None that were um… alive, anyway. But I think she’d like yellow ones too, like her rain coat.
[It was a logical answer in his opinion.]
no subject
Ah yellow. Then we should plant some of that colour perhaps?
no subject
Yeah, I think that would be really nice! That way even if she isn’t sure about them, at least there are some in a colour she’d like.
no subject
[It would give him a chance to get something else planted. And maybe he could get Mono to come over to check progress.]
So what type of yellow flowers are you thinking? Shall we plant yellow roses or some Sunflowers or yellow Daffodils?
no subject
What’s a daffodil look like?
[ Hm… It was fun to say too. He hoped it was nice. ]
no subject
[I suppose the best way to explain is to show you. Give me a moment.
[And he rustled with his phone a bit.]
I'm going to turn the video on, so I can show you this photo. Is that alright?
no subject
I guess, as long as you don’t mind it being kinda staticky.
[Ignis turned the device on and showed the boy a picture or two.]
They come in different colours.
no subject
Wow, those are kinda pretty! I like them better than some of the other yellow stuff I saw. They gotta neat shape, and their name is kinda fun to say.
no subject
I never quite thought of it that way. But you are correct, the name is rather fun to say. So I will start looking for some bulbs and will let you know when I have acquired them.
no subject
[ But Mono responded with a little nod through the static. ] Okay, that sounds good to me!
