I know there are serious things happening but focusing on that has never been something I'm good at. That said, Thanksgiving just passed by. [Not that Jacob has a good track record for celebrating or understanding most holidays but it got him thinking.] Not sure who has thanksgiving or who celebrates it.
It's a pretty strange holiday.
[Jacob remembers it as a holiday dedicated to overeating.]
But it also reminds me that Christmas is coming up too. I don't remember doing much the last time I was here. [He thinks he gave away wooden carvings but then that might have had no relation to Christmas, Jacob's memories were still a bit fuzzy.]
Anyway, I wanted to know what sort of traditions people had.
My traditions changed a lot after my parents passed but when I was very young I remember a lot of cookies and a lot of pie. Along with a great deal of decorations that I had to help with or, I wouldn't get the aforementioned cookies and pie.
What about you guys?

It's in the past.
[He's still dealing with some trauma but he doesn't blame his sister and he doesn't want her to blame herself. She's already had a hell of a time.]

You know, life isn’t an easy thing, especially when someone’s got the burden of fate on them like that. Like it sounds like she did. I think she probably did some of what you’ve implied to keep you safe. And worrying about you is sorta what comes with that.

Though I suppose there might be a time to talk about it. Maybe when things become easier. [He really doesn't know if there is ever a right time to talk to people about depressing things.]

Maybe when things get easier. But I just hope you can be happy here.

[He signs.]
If I can keep my head out of my ass, but you'll help with that right?

Anyway, I should get going. I'll see you at our next sparring match.

[With his final goodbye he politely hangs up.]
