It was late Summer and Ignis had been strolling along, thinking about his upcoming wedding in a few months. So as he was doing so, he was wondering about colour schemes and decorations. But then he recalled talking to Cloud about seeing someone named Aerith about that sort of matter.

While it was true that he knew of the flower shop, for some reason he'd never gotten around to actually going to visit, so this was a good time as any to see what he could do. The main theme was autumn of course and trees. Stars and lanterns would be covered too and he'd been keeping his nose buried in books from the mage's tower to try and come up with different recipes.

However, the only directive he really had if it could be called that, was that there would be no yellow flowers because Mono found it to be an unpleasant sort of colour. So after having lunch Ignis turned his steps towards the flower shop where normally they would've been pointed back to work.

Locating the shop, the advisor's green eyes spotted the pleasant arrangements and the whole place seemed to have something of a calming effect as he looked around.

It occurred to Aerith now and then that she really should get a name and a sign together for the shop. As it stood now she had the shop itself set up mostly how she wanted it. There were displays in the window of arrangements she could offer and inside there were shelves on the wall with a variety of flowers to give examples of the types of flowers she offered, as well as a check out counter with a cash register and a door that lead to the back. She could do all of that but a name? Evidently a name was a bit more tricky though. Eventually though. She'd figure it out eventually.

For now though it looked like she might have a customer and she gave a warm beaming smile. "Hello!" her voice was chipper as she walked out from behind the counter towards Ignis.

She leaned to the left and tilted her head, still smiling. "What can I help you with today?"

Well the man had mentioned to him that this was the spot to be, and so here he was. The shop was rather lovely and of course it felt like an inviting place to be in. It gave him ideas as to how to put that sort of thing to work at the Lodge.

Ignis then turned when he heard the warm and friendly voice so he smiled at the lady. This had to be Aerith, but he wasn't going to make that assumption.

"You have quite a lovely shop here."

Of course he'd start with a compliment because it was his way. "But I was wondering if I might request your assistance for an upcoming project of mine as it were."

He didn't want to toss Cloud's name in unless it seemed appropriate.

"Oh, thank you very much! I've had some help here and there with things, so I can't take all the credit!" She continued to smile and gave a nod. "I'd be happy to offer my assistance for anything? What's the project?" It occured to her right after she'd asked that she should probably do the polite thing and introduce herself. At the very least it seemed like the appropriate thing to do. Maybe she should have opened with that. Yeah, she definitely needed to think of a name for a place. Then she could open with a welcome to blank, my name is Aerith how can I help you? Or something like that. This was all just a bit harder than selling flowers from a basket or little cart.

"I'm Aerith by the way."

He simply smiled at her because it was really nice to have someone so cheerful and friendly and willing to help him out. Normally he could take care of all details, but some things he just needed a helping hand on.

At her question about the project, he had to smile. "I'm getting married as it were and would appreciate a more professional opinion on flowers and their arrangements."

But when she introduced herself, the advisor nodded. "Ignis Scientia, a pleasure to meet you Miss Aerith."

Her eyes widened just a tiny bit and somehow her smile got even bigger when he said he was getting married. "Married here? Oh! That's so nice! People here could use more nice things." And they really deserved more good things after being kidnapped and then having to go all the things that happened here.

"It's nice to see more people trying to make the best out of being here. I'd be happy to help you as much as possible, Ignis! No charge even!" It didn't really seem right to charge someone for a really happy occasion like this. In the back of her head she could practically hear Cloud sighing about that but, as always, she just ignored that.

"Sooo...what kind of colors are you thinking of?"

Ignis turned slightly red at hearing that people could use more nice things here in this world. It was definitely true though and he nodded. He could still recall all of the horrible things that happened during his tenure here and none of them were all that wonderful. Fortunately there were bright spots too and the couple figured this could definitely be one of them.

The no charge comment made him smile but yet he shook his head. "I would be most grateful for the assistance. And yet if you won't accept payment in coin, consider a wedding invitation as such. You're of course free to bring someone." That put the blonde man in his mind but it was up to her as to who she brought and it was none of his business.

In his book of old fashioned-ness it was a gift for a gift. Some might call it one good deed deserves another or something, but in his mind such a gracious favour as this didn't go unpaid. It simply wasn't who he was.

"But as far as colours, I'm thinking of staying within autumn ones."

"Are you sure? I don't want to intrude on a private important day like that," she said with a sorta sheepish little smile. Though, she could certainly think of who she'd force to come with her if she did go. That was an easy conclusion to come to, she'd love to see Cloud dressed up for a wedding.

"Autumn colors, hmm? So oranges, reds, and yellows?"

"A gift for a gift." Ignis smiled. "After all you've no need to assist me if you don't wish to." Sure Aerith was running a flower shop but that didn't mean that she had to help him at all.

But he nodded to the first two colours and then shook his head to the last. "No yellow. I have a lad in the party that is not fond of the colour. However the other two should work quite splendidly."

"I feel like there's going to be no talking you out of it, huh?" Guess she really should have expected that. A lot of people here seemed to share the stubborn quality and the wanting to be nice to each other quality. It was nice in a way, though different than what she was probably used to.

She gave a nod in response. "No yellow then. Any other colors you'd like to see or definitely don't want?"

"No, and you have my personal apologies. But the lad is rather dear to me and upsetting him is not something that I wish to do under any circumstance." Ignis had promised Mono and that was the way it was staying.

The rest had him shake his head. "Other than no yellow, I'm quite open to your expert opinions and suggestions."

"You know, I have to give it to the people here. Everyone I've met has been a really...strong willed person," she said with a light laugh. It could almost make one wonder if that was secretly how they were chosen. Everyone here seemed ridiculously stubborn and perseverant at the very least. "It's really sweet of you to want to make sure everyone's happy. I could throw together a few samples and then bring them by your building to see with one you'd like to go with?"

"Strong wills are pretty necessary here at times." Ignis replied easily. But it really did help when they were faced with huge nasty monsters or runaway ghosts and skeletons.

He nodded with a small smile at Aerith's praise of wanting to make sure everyone was happy. But really the one person he was trying to be kindest too besides Mono was of course Nida.

To her offer Ignis nodded again. "I would be delighted. And if you're ever up for it, we could meet up at the place we're getting married if that would be more helpful."

"That's true. It seems like things can fluctuate a lot between being kinda bad and pretty calm. You can never really tell what's going to happen." That was probably the worst part there, never really knowing when or if something was going to happen.

"Oh, that'd actually be super helpful to meet up there! Then I can get a look at how big I should make things and a better feel for everything."

"That is indeed the case." Ignis replied. Of course it was just like back home except the bad seemed to just come and wash the boys over as if in a wave, making them tumble through it, while trying to regain their grip on the situation and how to handle it.

Ignis nodded. "Then you know where the Hunting Lodge is?"
