I thought it might help
Who; Nida
skyward_eyes & Ignis
faithfulsupport for the first part, but then OPEN And Please feel free to set a prompt for Nida as well if wanted!
What; Discussion for Autumn wedding plans
Where; Their place
When; Before the plants invade
Warnings; None, will change if necessary
For Nida -
Today was a day that they both had off, so after breakfast, Ignis had cleaned up and got some coffee brewing. He had made quite the list in preparation for their joint meeting today and he kept having the sense of time ticking until they exchanged vows.
Clothing was sorted, food was still up in the air on some things but Ignis could whip up a lot of things in a hurry. The guest list was still to be determined, though they had spoken about a place to hold the wedding. Hopefully, the weather would cooperate and they could marry outside. But as to who was going to marry them, that was a thing that they needed to discuss too. And Ignis needed to clarify their theme and colours.
Outside - OTA
Ignis is walking around outside and is watching a few of the leaves fall. A few are turning colours and it marks the passage of time to him that he's been here almost a year. It's really strange to think about how simply landing in another world has completely changed said world. So he can be found looking at some trees just beyond a park bench. And as yet another leaf falls he smiles.
"It's quite the lovely time of year isn't it?"
Wildcard - OTA
[Feel free to make something up, I'm game! Nida is available for prompts too!]

But first, the fall. “The park will be quite lovely. It reminds me of Queens Park in my world... Well, at least a little.” He hummed a bit, “And so will the paths leading to the hunter’s lodge, I don’t doubt.” He frowned a bit as he glanced down, “Hey- no.. Bud that’s not food.” He mumbled, excusing himself for a moment as he tugged a leaf out of Pretzel’s mouth.

Looking at Llewellyn now, the advisor's blondish head cocked to the side as he listened. He had no idea what Queens Park was other than the obvious perhaps. But he did smile at hearing about the hunter's lodge. It was a lovely chocobo ride to work every day for him now. And he was about to acknowledge as such when suddenly their attention was turned towards the dog who was trying to chew a fallen leaf.
So he nodded towards the pup. "He's certainly an adorable sort of rascal."
no subject
The comment gets a curious glance up, casting the recovered leaves aside.
… And yes, Pretzel took his owner’s distraction as an excuse to try again.
“Thank you, he’s quite the little fiend at times… And he uses his charm to get what he wants from me and Rhy.” Llewellyn joked, before reaching to snag the last leaf away before straightening. “This is uh- Pretzel. The pup I mentioned to you a while back? Surprised us recently… But he’s never seen… Well- most things considering nature, wildlife and seasons weren’t a thing for him to experience before.”

He and Nida had cats and they were content with that along with Nida's little red chocobo. Somehow Ignis was surprised the cats hadn't gone after the little baby bird but they hadn't. But he knew all too well how animals knew who to go to in order to get just what they wanted. They somehow all had that innate talent no matter what their species it appeared.
"And how are things going with the house hunting? Is that a thing you're doing or are you waiting more until the Spring time?"
no subject
“We have a little work ahead of us getting him socialized and accustomed to everything, but he’s very friendly and enthusiastic.” Pretzel was indeed very good-natured. So much so that he tended to just… try to make friends with people and the oddest of creatures. He’d been friends with both a rabbit and a dire wolf in the last world. Whether that was because the Sphere didn’t want to allow for creatures that would fight with each other, or because it was just his way, was hard to say.
The question was a good one, a topic he knew that Ignis could understand the need for. Llewellyn and Rhy both missed their home from the last world, as grateful as they were for the apartments… It wasn’t the same. He shrugged lightly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Slow, I’m afraid. Trying to find something available and… I guess right for us? At this rate, I do wonder if it’ll be the spring. Moving in the winter wouldn’t be ideal.” Humming a little, he supposed that it also depended. “That’s not to say I wouldn’t jump to if I did find something that Rhy liked.” He offered a curious tilt of his head, “What about you? Any luck on your part?”
no subject
But he drew his attention back to Llewellyn and nodded. "It seems to be quite the process and of course both of you have to adore the place." Which was true of course. And then he smiled. "I keep looking and am more than happy to send you some of the leads I have if that would meet with your approval."
Besides a small part of him hoped they would be neighbours or at least not far away from each other. And if not that was all well and fine too as each couple would have to make their own way in this world and Ignis knew that.
no subject
And Pretzel wasn’t approaching Ignis as Llewellyn had given him the command to stay a few times now. The reason was one he thought rather important as he shared it. “I’d invite you to greet him properly, we do want to get him more socialized with people in general… But- uh… Your fiance was recently by the office, and I discovered he’s allergic. I’d hate for him to get fur on you or something and cause another reaction.” Llewellyn had some horror stories told to him by a pre-teen back in the last world when it came to allergies… So, he took it quite seriously.
The offer of sending along leads for housing was something that got a more grateful expression from the detective. “Really? Mm… Thank you, Ignis. That would actually be quite helpful!” Both he and Rhy would undoubtedly feel quite lucky to have such good neighbours if that should occur.
no subject
But he nodded at hearing about Llewellyn's line of reasoning as far as the pup went. "Well that would be a rather good idea then." And he didn't need Nida coming down with an allergic reaction. The man had far too much on his plate already and an allergic reaction wasn't something that he needed to add to it.
And the thank you got a smile. "You're quite welcome. I will certainly keep you informed as to what I do find."

“We still have a lot of training to do, where he’s young yet. We’ve uh- started with hiding toys, and hope to move up to people volunteers in time.” He gestured lightly to the pup, whose attention was starting to drift back to the leaves. Getting him to sit again, it was progress that the pup hadn’t thrown himself at Ignis by now to say hi, regardless of things like ‘allergies.’ Those weren’t things he understood. All he knew was he was cute and deserved attention.
“If I happen to hear of anything, I’ll definitely share in return, then?” Llewellyn responded with a little nod, though he had a feeling Ignis was at least slightly better connected than him where he’d been around longer. Still, it seemed right to try. Having a space for you and your loved one… it was something Llewellyn had learned the value of, and it would be good for both of them and their significant others to have that space. One needed room to grow together, after all.
no subject
But some of course were never seen or heard from ever again.
Looking at Pretzel now, the advisor's green eyes focused on the adorable pup. "He'll be quite an assistant when he learns." Of that Ignis was certain as he smiled at Llewellyn. "Though I am curious as to how you go about finding people to volunteer for such a project as to go missing."
The last got a nod. "Between the two of us, we should be able to come up with some sort of housing plan." Ignis really wasn't sure who to start with here. The Aspects wouldn't be concerned with such matters, but mayhaps he might start with that new Historium fellow. Or just find a mice area and start inquiring, he could do that too.
no subject
But it was still one of his higher priorities when it came to casework, and here would be no different. Ignis was right. There would be a need here as well. “He’s going to be quite helpful, I think.” He responded to the comment about the pup, more than a little proud of the dog’s progress already. It was a lot of work, but it would be worth it… Plus, Pretzel was friendly enough that he’d be good to have around if someone were upset, he’d proven that a few times in the last world. “Mm… Volunteers have been tricky to find. I’m thinking I may have to ask around on the tell-phone network to see if anyone is interested. I’ll probably offer payment for the help, if you happen to know anyone who’d be interested.”
On the subject of housing, Llewellyn grinned a little. “Indeed, it just takes time and a little patience I guess.” He had a mind to ask Halcyn about it. Athony did not seem like the sort to care about these kinds of things. The problem was, every time he had a chance to talk to one of them, it was after one of the bad things that happened and his priorities tended to shift to the problem that needed solving or questioning how it had been resolved.
“I rather wonder about some of the abandoned buildings and the like around the city… They clearly need work, but it seems a shame to see them empty.” But then, as the world seemed to change and rebuild itself, it seemed like they could be spoken for by those who might need them with each change.
no subject
However, at hearing about volunteers, Ignis smiled. "You have one in front of you at the moment who would be more than happy to volunteer, no payment required." And of course he meant that. The detective could keep that money and spend it on his household or save it for whatever he would choose to do with it.
Nodding at the part about patience and time, that was something he himself had thought of. But then the detective began wondering about the abandoned buildings. That too had crossed his own mind. "Well there's only one way to find all of that out I suppose."
no subject
Humming a little, the detective considered Pretzel for a moment. “So far his experience is with toys and personal items hidden around the park, mostly.” That aside, he also had to add on one thought out of caution. “Probably best too if you wear something you’re not worried about getting dog hair on, just to avoid inconveniencing your fiancé.” Llewellyn, of course, was not yet aware that Nida had secured allergy medicine from Raimon. He was a cautious man when it came to health-related issues.
Ignis was right, of course. Like most things, one needed to ask… He was quite good at asking questions. It was just a matter of priorities and remembering to ask. If something work related came up, something that meant someone needed help with something instead, the detective was prone to jumping rather rapidly. It could make him a bit hard to keep up with at times.
no subject
At the words of caution, he couldn't help but smile. "I daresay that I'm quite sure that I can find a thing or two." There were a few things he wouldn't mind getting rid of now that over the course of their living together, Ignis had managed to upgrade his wardrobe bit by bit, looking more the part of a proper business man than someone who looked as if he didn't even belong there in the first place at the end of the day. And he really appreciated the detective's thoughtfulness with his comment.
"So when would you like to start training on the search?"
no subject
Llewellyn shrugged lightly, expression slightly comical at the dog’s antics, before he turned his attention back to the matter at hand. “I would be glad to start training as soon as there’s time. I do know you have quite a bit to work on at the moment, of course.” Llewellyn remembered well what went into organizing a wedding, after all. He and Rhy had found themselves quite busy, especially when many of their friends had disappeared before the day. “But I’m usually free in the late afternoon, unless I’m occupied by an investigation. I’m sure Jagger won’t mind my leaving the office for a few hours considering that this will help if anyone goes missing.”
And, in all honesty, his colleagues at the Gullwings would have gotten used to his penchant for working on the go rather than indoors. He was not a man who was good at sitting still and doing desk work. Plus, it might give them a small break from the note-tornado that swept through spaces he occupied.
no subject
But he smiled at the dog who was pretending to be nothing but innocent and then he faced the detective. "Well I will certainly make the time whenever you're available." Because finding missing people was an important task and if he could aid that quest even if just a little, he would be there. And Ignis was nothing if efficient, able to juggle many tasks and successfully see them through to completion. His royal advisor status had him doing so very many things after all.
And the other cooks arrived later than he did, so he could have everything all prepped for the next day the night before or very early in the day.
no subject
“Then I’ll be sure to get in touch once I have a better idea, and we can arrange an afternoon based around our schedules.” He responded with a grin. It was nice to finally have assistance. It was one thing for Pretzel to find him and Rhy, which was quite easy, but it was another for him to find people he didn’t know well based on what scent clues that he could be provided with. “I’ll try to have an uh- proper plan worked out for the day as well, just for a base idea on how to go about it.” Llewellyn figured it would be simple enough. It was just a matter of keeping Pretzel engaged (not difficult) and more practice. But the hound had made a lot of progress already with inanimate objects, so moving up to people who could move and wander was the next step. “I’ll have to see if I can find a stall that would have good treats, rewards and incentives are rather good for reinforcing what he’s learned.”
It was a nice idea, and he’d have to talk to Rhy about making sure they had a nice thank you gift for Ignis’ help. Aside from a nice wedding gift, of course.

And as he listened, he thought of work of course. The hunters sometimes brought in small children who'd been orphaned or found on the streets begging for food. Sometimes they fed the kids themselves from their own provisions and sometimes they brought the kids to the lodge. Ignis of course fed them without charge if the hunters didn't seem to have enough coin. And it silently broke his heart to think of how lost and frightened the kids were.
Those thoughts made him bring up the possibility. "There may be children there from time to time so they may be curious about your pup there. They're found wandering the streets and sometimes with no memory of who they are or even their own names. So the hunters bring them in and they're fed." He shook his head. "Most have seemed well behaved."
And that made him wonder if he couldn't have an addition built onto the lodge for them, because at least they'd be safe. And fed, he'd see to that personally.
no subject
Llewellyn had been fond of them too, and he missed them… And worried about what life they’d gone back to. Regardless of their behavior, he had always known when they needed to talk and when they needed patience.
no subject
He was quite happy to hear about the pup and children which of course made sense considering the dog would be searching for some eventually and it was a sobering thought.
And then a happier thought occurred to him. "What kind of food do you feed Pretzel?"
no subject
The question gets a more amused expression. It really was rather funny when he thought about it. “There’s a woman in the market who has a rather uh- largish dog that we’ve been asking advice on for feeding the little fellow. Back in the last world, you could get pre-made dog food, so it was a little easier, but here we’ve been trying our hand at making it? Messy, but I think he likes it. We joke that he eats better than we do, what with learning to prepare his food before even learning to cook our own.” Llewellyn joked with a small chuckle.
no subject
And at hearing about the pup's diet, Ignis moved his head to the side. "So you cook it and you don't offer any sort of table scraps I take it?" Yes there was a reasoning behind this entire line of questioning but he had to be careful here.
no subject
Basset hounds were already described as ‘wrinkly anvils’ when full grown, so the pup was just working on that a little earlier.
“So we try to maintain his diet as best we can. His meals are prepared according to what we were told to try to make sure he gets the nutrition he needs? But snacks and scraps do happen, we just get extra walkies in.” He commented with a wry smile. It did help that Llewellyn was constantly on the go. So between the two of them, Pretzel did get a lot of exercise in.
no subject
But as the detective went on about diet, he did detect the word 'walkies' which were a way he tried to tell Hibiscus they were going for a walk. It was adorable to hear that another pet owner used the same verbiage. "Well he seems rather well behaved and should he visit, I didn't want to give him table scraps if it wasn't permitted so I thought to inquire."
no subject
But he smiled at the comment, “Oh, well thank you.” He was rather pleased to hear the pup complimented on his behavior. They had come a long way, even if Pretzel still wanted to nibble on the odd thing he shouldn’t. “We’re doing quite well with training, even if he still needs a little work. So! I’m sure the odd table scrap won't hurt considering what we’ve already given him, and I wouldn’t want to hold it against any children who don’t know any better.”
