1. A Stitch In Time... | A Seamstress's Shop
The young woman who watched the counter was sick this morning. It was something Rhy had been informed of when he had first entered and, of course, the other ladies that worked in the shop had a very reasonable expectation of that. There were dresses to be made, suits to be prepared, shirts and blouses and vests. So many different things hat needed finished or prepared or repaired. All in all it meant that the newest hire who was still working on some of the easier skills was watching the counter. So he sat there behind the counter, working on repairing a vest.
Until, that was, the door opened. He looked up with a bright smile at the individual entering.
"Good morning. How might we serve you? Something new to wear? Repairs? Perhaps some lovely embroidery to enhance what you already own?"
2. Light Fingers Cause Problems | The Open Air Markets
Lunch, or nearly that. Rhy had been given leave a bit early from his job to go collect lunch, given he was intending to bring it back to the small tables near his place of work to have lunch with his husband and their lovely pup. Today it was his turn to buy their lunch, and so he had, a basket of small pastries, sweet and savory, a small wedge of cheese, and a small bunch of grapes. This last item was in the hands of the vendor, about to go into Rhy's basket as he took the small purse with the last of the money for lunch in hand as a child ran by.
One second there was a small pouch in his hand. The next just empty air as the child bolted off through the market, with the vendor cursing as the child ran off. And Rhy stood there, shocked.
"Did... Was I just stolen from?"
What a strange and interesting thing!
3. Why Do Birds Suddenly Appear | The Park
A day off. They were not the most common for Rhy, but he did so enjoy when they came. With Llewellyn busy at work Rhy had set himself into the park, another trip to allow their sweet basset hound pup get used to the plant and animal life. The dog was currently napping at the end of his leash, tuckered out from some vigorous sniffing action. Rhy, meanwhile, had settled on a bench with a book in his lap, enjoying the slow progression of a book he had bought.
He didn't even notice the little song birds growing interested until one landed on the top of his book, tweeting at him in curiosity. The man went very still and stared at the little finch, which seemed to have no problem with his presence.
What did he do now? He didn't want to scare the thing. Oh dear.

Instead, he tangled fingers in Rhy’s hair, drawing him into the kiss more deeply with a pleased sigh. Clearly Llewellyn was as hungry for it, and closer was always encouraged… His arm shifting to hold the man in a firm, comforting embrace, hand grasping at material lightly.

Although… It would be a shame if the small, wrinkly fluff butt that was also on their level were to have enough of their nonsense that involved ignoring him…
no subject
Or he did until said fluff butt realized that not one, but two faces of his favorite people were now in licking range. The pup rushed forward and then Rhy was pulling away, laughing as the dog came in to demand his kisses.
"Damn you Pretzel!"

Glancing up at his husband, he gave the man a small grin. “Mm… I suppose we should have probably anticipated that interruption. Revenge for not letting him in bed some evenings.” He raised a brow with a slightly amused tone.
no subject
Which meant Pretzel couldn't just invade of his own accord.
no subject
“That was lovely, though I do suppose he might’ve done us a favour by interrupting in this case… Before we uh- got carried away.” He grinned sheepishly, reaching out to adjust his husband’s shirt slightly, knowing they might’ve both looked a little less tidy now. His own tie was rather crooked, and his hat was still left on the ground.
no subject
Rhy smiled and reached for the hat, dusting it off to put on his husband's head before he started to smooth the tie into position.
"Yeah, he did help there too."
no subject
Letting Rhy return his hat to where it belonged, and to straighten his tie, Llewellyn smiled warmly. Little gestures like that were something he found he enjoyed quite a bit, it was just nice… “As disappointing as the interruption was, I suppose we owe him one for it… Though I dare say I might wish for a continuation this evening where he need not interrupt us.” He added with a teasing light in his eyes.

Almost as good as hugging the taller man to him, happy to use his strong body to keep the man tightly there.
"I didn't tell you, I was commissioned to do a beautiful waistcoat for a wedding!"
no subject
Not that he was in a rush to move, Llewellyn didn’t really have any complaints to remain trapped by his husband. He wished they had more time like this. They’d both been keeping so busy since they arrived. Though it would be worth it, he reminded himself. He had promised Rhy to find them somewhere better than the apartments, and he’d meant it.
Still, he does tilt his head at the excited tone in Rhy’s voice with a fond smile. A wedding, hm? He had a feeling he knew which, though he rather wondered which of the two had been by the shop to see Rhy. So, he had to ask. “That’s lovely, dear. Is it for Ignis and Nida, perchance?”
no subject
ANd his gaze was lingering with amusement upon his husband. Was that you, Llewellyn?
no subject
The lingering, amused look from Rhy gets a slightly silly, sheepish smile as he rubbed his cheek. “I’m sure someone did recommend you, you’re work is lovely and I’m sure more than a few people appreciate the care you put into it, my love.” He responded, not exactly spilling the beans that it was him… But also not saying it wasn’t him.
What? He was proud of his husband and wanted him to have such opportunities to take on projects that he would enjoy. The day Llewellyn didn’t fuss and dote and talk up, Rhy was a day where one should be concerned that he was ill or possessed by something.
no subject
And there was only so much more he can do. But in the mean time, might teases is lover the best he could.

"I think I might need to go home early and figure out how to find them. To thank them."
no subject
He had a feeling his distraction would be at an all-time high for the remainder of the day at this rate. He now rather felt like he might understand why he heard stories about Murdoch and Julia disappearing at odd times of day in very specific places where one should probably not pursue such desires... Love, it seemed, had that effect on people.
His tone was still low as he continued, “Maybe with a nice bottle of wine, and plenty of time to spend appreciating you and your thanks?”
no subject
"Perhaps tonight even?"
no subject
But…
Rhy brought this side out of him in a way few could. “I don’t know… Perhaps?” He continued, leaning in close again and lingering with a delighted grin. “I think it’s quite possible that they might have received just the right inspiration to surprise you tonight.”

I think I'd like to work this toward a close, though not going to cut it off. Hope that's okay
Yeah if you want. I figured it was heading to a close soon, just say when you want to wrap it.
there strikes me that there is a logical close point they will get to.
