Hello again, everyone! First of all, thank you to everyone that answered my question before. I found a beautiful place for a little garden and already have a lot of things growing. This place has been actually been really helpful! I was worried it might not want to say anything or maybe there wouldn't be anything for it to say, but I guess I got lucky. [ She sounds a bit tired, but still as chipper as she usually does. ]

Someone suggested I update people here of anything I found out, so I'll try to tell you all what I learned. This place is new, I think it's kind of like a baby almost. It's happy right now, but ..it's very unstable. Us being here? That's how it's growing and how it's creating new places. So far this is all there is. [ Which is....kinda creepy. It means the mist doesn't actually lead anywhere and that's....well, freaky. ] I think we influence it. Us and ...well, that's kinda the bad news. Us and the things that come through the portal. It used to know how it was supposed to grow and what it'd become but now with the portal? It doesn't know anymore and I think ...it's scared. [ And she sounds pretty sad about that, sad and even more exhaustion had managed to slip into her voice. ]

Oh, and there's something weird in the Historium. It feels a lot older than the planet itself. A lot older. It's also really angry. It...it hurts to try to talk to it. I don't think it can talk back but it's...[ she trails off and lets out a tiny sigh ] I don't know, this will sound odd but I think it's a lot of spirits together? It's so angry and resentful though. I guess... that's why it doesn't always help people when they're looking for things there. That's about all I've been able to find out.

[ She hums to herself and falls silent for a few seconds. ] I'm going to be working in the forest for a bit longer but if anyone has any questions I can try to answer what I can.

No, I try not to do many things maliciously. [ There's really only one or two people she'd think of doing something actually malicious to. They really did deserve something bad though. She tilted her head and gave a little smile. ] They'll just underestimate you in general actually. Which works out pretty well for getting things done. [ In some ways it was a lot more freeing that people thought that about her. It also made it quite a lot easier for her to accomplish what she needed to accomplish. ]

[ She laughed and shook her head. ] Glad I wasn't the only one to forget about the dirt. [ It made her feel a lot better at least. ] I appreciate you taking notes! I look forward to hearing a report about how it goes!

No, having known more than a few people who do, I can say with honest that you don't seem to be the type. [Llewellyn commented with a smile, he did tend to have a good sense for people... Too observant sometimes. Though he'd been mistaken once... But that was a particularly special situation.]

It does work well. As much as it's nice to be taken seriously, it's sometimes more useful to slip by without their consideration. [He added with a little nod, often people took him at his word when perhaps it would have been better for their 'plans' if they hadn't.

Her own laugh get's Llewellyn's attention, a quizzical expression crossing his face. Had he...? Oh no. He looked down at his pockets now stained with a trail of soil where he'd been rummaging for his notebook and had to laugh at himself this time.] It would seem that it's easy to forget. [He shook his head a little, it would all wash out. Probably.

Closing the notebook once he'd written down what he needed, he set it aside instead of putting it away. Undoubtedly he'd need it again before the day was through.] Ah, yes... Notes are important, one can't always trust the mind to remember what's necessary. At least not mine. [Llewellyn shrugged with a slightly wry expression,] So I can assure you, I keep thorough notes. I'll be happy to share the details when the time comes.

Well, thank you very much! [ She gave him a little smile and a nod. ] It does get a bit annoying to not be taken seriously, I understand that. Would you believe that nobody thought I was SOLDIER material? I mean [ She gestures in an overexaggerated motion to herself. ] Do I really look that unbelievable as one? [ Yes, yes she does. It's actually pretty ridiculous to think she'd ever be scouted for the military. ]

Once you get into it you really do forget about the dirt. [ It was easy enough to do. ]

[Amusingly, Llewellyn actually looked and took the question seriously. What? He’s learned quite well that you do not underestimate the women around you. One would not look at Julia Ogden and think her capable of the thing’s she’d managed in her life, and yet she was probably more capable in some ways than most of the men on the force.

He certainly would not want to be on her bad side.] Mm… Well, honestly yes. But I suppose that proves the point, appearances can be deceiving and underestimating you is their mistake. [He offered a curious glance, grinning a little.]

I tend to be forgetful in general with some things, but it’s certainly easier to do if you’re enjoying what you’re doing.

[And he had, serious points to their conversation aside… He really did like the chance to work on things like this. It was a nice change of pace.]

Appearances can be deceiving [ She smiled at that, a soft little smile that was tinged with some amount of sadness. There were so many instances where that statement explained just about everything. It was strange how powerful of a sentiment it could be and how many meanings it could have. It could be a good thing just as easily as it could be a bad thing.

She turned back to her plants, picked another up, and put it into a small pot. Carefully she pushed the dirt around it and then gently packed it down. ] I hope it turns out to be a mistake for us all. Underestimating us I mean. [ Though she really wasn't entirely sure what she was referring to there. Maybe their situation here? Or maybe her situation back home? A bit of both. ]

Enjoying things always makes it easier, doesn't it?

[Llewellyn nodded a little to her response, humming thoughtfully. He supposed time would only tell if they were being underestimated here or not… He wasn’t really entirely sure himself… Sometimes these worlds were so different to him that he wasn’t sure if he could be underestimated. He tried his best to roll with whatever happened, but there was a certain point where he worried he’d be out of his depth, anyway.

Smiling a little though, he put another finished pot aside and moved on to the next with a renewed focus.]

It definitely does, holds one’s focus better, I think? And in this case, it’s nice to work towards a goal of making something that’s beautiful or will be used to make something useful.

[He picked up a small sprout and glanced at the herbs. Really, the uses for plants were expansive and most of them were quite pleasant. Tasty food, medicine, or just something nice to look at.]
