Llewellyn had to agree. The agricultural domes had been nice as a substitute for what they lacked in that place… But they hadn’t been like this world. “There is, I’ve even heard there is a forest on the edge of the city beyond the gates.” He responded with a lighter smile, it would be nice to go for a walk that far one day. The odd trip into the woods, camping under the stars, it was a pastime that he could enjoy on occasion back in his world. Even Detective Murdoch seemed to enjoy it, which was saying something considering how the man seemed to dislike the possibilities of getting a little dirty.
“Oh, yes, it really does. Aside from uh— things like the lack of electricity and street cars perhaps, it’s very close to what I know in my own world.” And that suited him well enough, fewer wires and the like to fuss with. “The markets, the little shops and even this tavern… Reminds me a lot of where I’m from.” He responded with a smile, finishing off his plate with a little of the bread and pushing it in gently with a satisfied smile. Even the food and the quality reminded him of his world, it felt more… real. Or at least it didn’t set off some of the paranoid thoughts he had in his own world.
He glanced across the table with a curious smile, noting his husband was also finished. “Are we ready to see where we call home now?”
