If Jagger only knew the characteristics of the Directory, he would be glad he'd never attempted to touch the thing. No amount of self-control would have protected his mind from the assault it would have suffered. Luckily, he'd gotten into the habit at a young age of just not touching things if he didn't know what they were or where they'd come from.

For its part, the Directory's mists swirled in a manner Jagger was quickly beginning to associate with processing a request and continued on for a moment.
