Ignis worked at the hunter's lodge as the main chef, so fresh ingredients were a thing and one of the reasons he was in the market as often as he was. And usually he bought more than was needed even there with as many hungry hunters and patrons as he served because what he didn't use there was brought home for him or his fiancée to cook. So there was truly no point in his mind to not purchase everything all at once.

Today he was working with the fish, trying to make sure he had enough for the lodge and home, with an extra special purchase going towards Nida's Julia. More often than not her dad bought fresh fish for her, but they were both at work.

And with him being so often here, the fish mongers chatted animatedly with him, especially since he tended to make larger purchases due to feeding folks at the lodge. Knowing he'd have to carry the consortium of crabs back, the sellers were even kind enough to cut and tie the claws in a bit of prep for him.

So as they were being prepared, Ignis visually located his chocobo who was tied not too far from where he was shopping. Not realizing there was a new person snacking on the other side of the bird at first, green eyes rolled playfully at the bird as he lifted his now ringed hand to scratch under its chin affectionately.

"And I suppose you want me to pick you up some Gysahl greens for your time and effort today."
