Who; Witch & Ignis
What; a trip to the potion shop
Where; Grave Concoctions
When; Forward-dated to April 7th
Warnings; probably none? will update if this changes!

[Witch did not sign up for retail. She very purposefully did not sign up for retail, thank you, because her general mood, when it comes to people in general, is "no thank you." She does not want to interact with them in anything vaguely resembling a professional capacity.

She has not worked retail before, but she knows just enough about it and herself to be certain that, while she's manning the shop solo as Fanci runs errands, she's going to lose her brand new job for telling a mouthy customer to eat shit.

A strong start to the new universe.

Which—all right, the feelings around whether she wants a job are complicated. There are certainly more important things to be doing than this, but at the same time, it's...comfortable, in a foreign way she can't quite grok. She performs her magic, the thing she's best at, and it's a simple part of the world around her, part of the day-to-day lives of herself and so many others. Not so many years ago, she couldn't fathom such a thing. She still can't, really, not completely. This place is new, and it's transient; even if she wanted to, she couldn't stay here.

And yet.

And yet, the part of her that loves to brew and practice so freely still cannot stand the idea of having to actually run the shop. Blessedly for her, it's been a slow day.

Right now, she slumps over the front counter, more focused on the notebook in front of her and the scrawlings she adds to it than anyone coming and going through the front door. A crow perches right there on the counter beside her, though (Witch successfully convinced Fanci of his necessity to her brewing), looking quite ordinary but for the way he cheerfully caws at every customer's entrance. At least someone is having a good time.

As Crow caws at their latest customer, Witch spends a moment finishing the writing she's working on, then looks up. She doesn't look terribly enthused, but can make a token effort, at least, to do her job.

Ignis heard of a new shop opening up, and on top of that it was a potions shop. This had the scholar in him quite curious. He didn't have Noct's magic to charge the properties of the healing potions or healing magic like Yuna or Nida had. So he wondered if perhaps the new potions shop would have something, even perhaps in the form of something new to discover regarding being able to even sort of replicate the strength of what he was used to having back home.

So he found himself heading towards the shop and had left a note for Nida.

Stepping inside, the advisor's green eyes looked around but the sound of a crow got his attention first. And then he saw the person he assumed was the owner of the shop. Of course he was happy to see then writing whatever they were, as Ignis was terribly fond of writing and books.

A nod went to the owner in greeting. "Good day to you and your crow."

Ignis was surprised at the crow's display but was happy with it regardless. He'd learned that from Noct, always trying to acknowledge cats as the king had on his journey, along with Umbra always bringing Lady Lunafreya's journal back and forth.

He smiled at the crow being told it was making friends but didn't want to tarry so he went to go look around a little when the lady behind the counter spoke up. He acknowledged her words with a nod. "Thank you, I will indeed do so." Not that he planned on asking questions or needing assistance because this was Ignis. He was the one everyone went to for assistance, not the other way around. Still, it was nice to see that the owner of the shop appeared to be friendly and open should he require her for inquiries regardless.

Green eyes went back to the bird as he cawed and he couldn't help let out a small laugh. Well it definitely had personality.

She received a smile in return for the thumbs up as he turned to go. The advisor himself was pretty careful not to touch anything unless he needed to. Not wishing to break anything was his usual mode of thinking and he didn't want to inadvertently purchase something unless he truly wanted the item. So he looked up and down the shelves, seeing some interesting ingredients here and there, all while continuing to listen for the owner or her feathered companion. It made him think of the cats back home who were probably up to no good as usual.

Stepping back to take a look at something, Ignis brought a hand up to his chin as he thought. There were a few ingredients here for healing so he was going to have to take a crack at those. He wished he could just borrow Noct's magic somehow through the worlds in order to be able to replicate the 'juice' in the healing potions he made now.

So much for that, the king of Lucis wasn't here. And for now, he carefully extracted a few herbs off of the shelf so that he could purchase them. However, he wasn't done looking. Which in the next turn, he saw some candles. Okay, he'd replenish those since he was here.

Taking a few, he brought then them up the counter. "Might I leave these here while I continue to peruse your shop?"
