[He doesn't intend to sound so creepy, but his deep, coarse voice coupled with his...economical use of words tends to come across more sinister than he intends.
The atmosphere probably didn't help, with the fog not having lifted, but that was part of why he was broadcasting.]
A ship returned to port.
[He didn't say anything else for a moment, wondering if anyone understood the gravity of that.]
They set a guard, but there are...monsters in the fog. If you can't fight, I suggest you respect the curfew. Otherwise...something should be done about this.
[No, he has no idea what that might be.]

One thing gone, then something else comes...
[He hummed, it sounded a little like home. You got through one thing and then there was something else waiting around the next corner. Then again, a bunch of crab people wasn’t exactly one thing... One kind of thing at least.]

[Mono had very quickly learned where uncontrollable portals were concerned, you turned possible exits off before you went through one. At least, that’s what he’d done with the TVs.
Observant child that he was, he was a little curious about the latter part of Vincent’s explanation.]
Do you think they’re lying?
no subject
[He'd seen too many lies in his lifetime.]
I think they've tried. They claim it isn't theirs and they don't know how it works.
no subject
[Then again, he’d never really found himself in a position to have a proper conversation with anyone in charge in his world. He wasn’t sure he wanted to stop long enough to be caught.]
So it’s something bad outside of their control...
[Yup, sounding more and more like the thing at home. That was great. It was better to find out as much as he could now, though. ]
no subject
[He'd experienced it enough to know.]
I believe so.
no subject
[He responded in a quiet mumble. If they were lying and could control the bad things more than they let on, then someone should probably do something.]
no subject
[That wasn't to say he'd seen them up to anything.]
If you see anything strange, let me know.
no subject
Okay, I think I can do that.
[There was just... one small detail.]
Only... I don’t know who you are to tell you?
[And even he is aware that ‘spooky voiced man’ is not a proper way to refer to someone else if you could learn their name.]
no subject
[There's a pause which makes it seem as though he doesn't have more to say, before-]
I'm usually around.
[Just look up, Mono.]
no subject
[And he nodded again, another little rustle and his tone a bit more confident.] Okay, I’ll listen for any strange stuff. I’m good at being sneaky.
[Well at least looking up was a natural instinct at this point. Being so small in your own world did that. As it was, even being told ‘I’m usually around’ made the kid look over his shoulder out of habit. Even if he was aware that the guy was watching the crab-people down near the docks.]
no subject
[And that declaration seemed enough for him. It wasn't the first time children had helped him out, after all. Did Yuffie count as a child?]
...thank you.

Arkadybeen teaching him manners.]no subject
[If someone notices another person is sneaky, are they really sneaky then? Hmm... Maybe Vincent is just sneakier. He mused to himself, before deciding to keep an eye out for the man a little more closely in the future.
For now... He was getting restless,]
Mm-hm... [A pause of his own, his manners were more prompted by being thanked at the moment.] You’re welcome?
Don’t get pinched by the crab-people.
[That was... probably a goodbye, almost a ‘take care’ without saying as much.]
no subject
[It's in the not noticing them around that they're sneaky, Mono.]
I won't.
[A beat.]
Neither should you.
no subject
[And he ends the feed, presumably to not get pinched by crab people and not get in trouble.]
