It is cold.
[Yes, this is a statement of fact, but please bear with the woman. She is very confused. This world keeps making no sense.]
In fact, it seems to be growing shorter with every day. How does one deal with such a thing? I am uncertain why the climate on this world is not properly managed. This is additionally troublesome in that it is very, very hot by the forge, at all times from when I come before dawn to build the forge fires up for Gili and into the end of the day.
Yes, I understand that this is clearly a function of the orbit and axis of this planet, but I cannot understand why people allow this thing to continue.
[Lauri-Ell's voice gets a little sad at that.]
My home space is too cold. Are there means to improve this? The sheets on my blanket do little to keep the cold away.

I'm not sure about this world but I don't think it's going to stay cold. Those I spoke to made it seem as if there were many seasons.
Re: Voice
Many? I have known worlds with up to seven.

[She pauses and then nods before forgetting that her motions can't be seen.]
Oh! Yes. I purchased some. I am not used to the cold. I bought a bit too many blankets. You have helped me before... I'd like to return the gesture.
Re: Voice
[The cold was a bit much for her as well. Yes, she could tolerate more range than humans could, but that didn't mean it was pleasant.]
I Fear there may be a... marked size difference.
Voice
[Her cheeks warm uncomfortably.]
Yes. I don't know that either. I um... some worlds only had one season. I think. [She isn't entirely sure since what she knows is from someone else's memories.] I have some larger blankets and you could use more than one.
Or I can sew two of them together.

I haven't really sewn before but I can learn and we can make you as many blankets as you need.

[She smiles widely at that.]
What else do we need?
no subject
We can meet once we have everything.

[She doesn't think of herself as human but being called human makes her so happy. Maybe she can be like everyone else after all.]

[He's not used to the cold either, and he's having to learn to wear warmer clothes which really hinders his usual style and mode of dress.]

They have a clothes maker in town. But I don't know how much they charge for custom made things.

[That's what he did for a long time after all. He traveled to different worlds, met all sorts of people and learned things.]

I am doing my best to learn. People here are strange. And this whole economy thing is strange as well.
no subject
What's so strange about the people here?
no subject
[New York City did not lend itself easily to being polite.]
no subject
So they're more polite? Is that a problem?
[He's confused.]

No, but people here seem nice. I haven't come across anyone who's been anything else.
[And he's run into some pretty unsavoury characters back home.]

The people here, the ones who belong here, look at me funny.
[Then again, so do others.]

[Terra figured the townspeople pretty much didn't like anybody.]

[Why should she not be?]

Guess I never thought to worry about it.

Do you need some help?

It is kind of you to offer. I believe I shall have to learn to cope.

Okay, if you change your mind let me know.
