It is cold.

[Yes, this is a statement of fact, but please bear with the woman. She is very confused. This world keeps making no sense.]

In fact, it seems to be growing shorter with every day. How does one deal with such a thing? I am uncertain why the climate on this world is not properly managed. This is additionally troublesome in that it is very, very hot by the forge, at all times from when I come before dawn to build the forge fires up for Gili and into the end of the day.

Yes, I understand that this is clearly a function of the orbit and axis of this planet, but I cannot understand why people allow this thing to continue.

[Lauri-Ell's voice gets a little sad at that.]

My home space is too cold. Are there means to improve this? The sheets on my blanket do little to keep the cold away.

I'm not sure about this world but I don't think it's going to stay cold. Those I spoke to made it seem as if there were many seasons.

[The cold was a bit much for her as well. Yes, she could tolerate more range than humans could, but that didn't mean it was pleasant.]

Yes. I don't know that either. I um... some worlds only had one season. I think. [She isn't entirely sure since what she knows is from someone else's memories.] I have some larger blankets and you could use more than one.

Or I can sew two of them together.

Sew? I have never learned to sew. THat is a very good task to have. I might be able to make you needles if you will do so!

Really? That would be wonderful.

I haven't really sewn before but I can learn and we can make you as many blankets as you need.

How long will it take to make a needle? I can get everything else together. I already have blankets. [She just needs to find thread.]

I don't know. I haven't made any before. I will ask about it. If I am not good enough for it, I will ask Gili to do it.

[He's not used to the cold either, and he's having to learn to wear warmer clothes which really hinders his usual style and mode of dress.]

Finding clothes for my size is a difficult endeavor.

They have a clothes maker in town. But I don't know how much they charge for custom made things.

Neither do I. I am merely an apprentice, I do not know if I have sufficient funds to manage what is needed.

[That's what he did for a long time after all. He traveled to different worlds, met all sorts of people and learned things.]

I am doing my best to learn. People here are strange. And this whole economy thing is strange as well.

[Terra has no idea about the economy, because for him it's just like it was back home, except the creatures here didn't drop munny though he was working for someone..sort of. But doing things like finding things out, exploring, running errands and all that as he did really wasn't much of a change. And we meant he and Namine since they seemed to go on adventures together more often than not.]

What's so strange about the people here?

Many races are xenophobic. I believe this derives from inherent grouping instincts.
