For all he tried to put on a blank, professional façade, he really could show his emotions without realizing it.
Oddly, he felt the insistence of the whispered secrets intensify someone as another voice ghosted by his ear and threw it at him, the breath causing him to shudder with discomfort. Was it worse when they… denied the secret, or maybe when they didn’t say it out loud? Surely that wasn’t it, that was absurd… Right?
To hide, perhaps. He turned to fix his gaze down an alleyway, trying to get a sense of any fluctuations in energy around them that might be more substantial. “Someone needs to get our kidnappers some damn supervision if this is their doing…” The question is if this was them or if this was something else. The fact that they rarely saw those in charge made it a bit hard to work out more about them and what they might be behind. “I would agree on the ghost of some kind, something strong enough to interfere with mental wards again if they’re pulling secrets from our minds.” Not great, he hates that a lot if it is the case… “The question is why, if there’s something more than general upset that they hope to inspire in us…”
