[Leon is seen outside, almost impatiently pulling leaves out of his hair that had fallen upon his head in a heap when he left the house. He's heading for a daily cup of coffee, but somehow even that wound up differently than planned.]

Alright, I got the video on and now..

[Another sound is heard.]

Mrow?

[The camera turns to see a cat]

Go away, I don't have time for you.

Mrow mrow?

[Leon sighed.]

I said I don't have time.

[After the camera stared at the cat another half a minute, it moved towards the camera.]

...hey watch it...

What are you doing?

[A long suffering sigh is heard from Leon before the camera clattered onto the ground and the feed is turned off.]

I can see if I can get Ignis to write down his recipes for cat food.

[Figures she wouldn't give him a break or a hand here.]

I think the cat has chosen you. And given my Julia and Ignis's Ebony, it's clear that's all that matters.

Maybe, but it looks like it decided it likes you! Looks like it's time to start thinking of names

[Leon sighed, so much for that.]

I could probably use some help there.

[Leon frowned.]

Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

You're not really familiar with cats are you?

Yuffie and Aerith used to handle all of them in town. They'd normally just run away from me.

They work in mysterious ways. I have one named Julia. Well, sort of a cat.

I'd be happy to help. What sort of name are we thinking? Something cute or meaningful? We can't be generic here.

[He looked at the cat that to his own surprise, he'd picked up.]

Uh..could use some help with the name?

How does one have a sort of cat?

Well, she's feathered.

Okay, hmm! Are we thinking of a serious name or a cute name or a punny name?

[heartofalion]

[He turned away.]

Cute works.

[That got an odd look.]

A feathered..cat.

Yes. A peacock cat queen. She's wonderful, though a bit conceited. As one would be when so splendid.

Cute then...[ she taps her chin while smiling as she thinks. ]

Patches?
Pumpkin? Becasue of the little orange colors!
Maybe Marbels or Butterscotch?

[Leon scowled at the names of Butterscotch, and Pumpkin even if he agreed on them and even liked them. But finally he relented on one of them.]

Patches is a good name. Fits it I think.

[heartofalion]

[Leon half laughed.]

That would probably explain it.

[skyward_eyes]

It really would. But all cats are like that.

[heartofalion]

[There was a sigh with a sarcastic response.]

That's..great news.

[skyward_eyes]

Don't worry. Feed it well and give it warm and dark places to hide, and it will be happy.

[heartofalion]

[He looked a little perturbed about that, but nodded.]

I'm sure it'll find plenty of places to hide.

[skyward_eyes]

Good. And high places. Cats love high places. Ebony and Julia end up on the fridge all the time. We had to put in cabinet locks so they didn't get into them.

[cetrary]

I like it! Which totally isn't bias or anything. [ It might be bias since she picked it out. ]

[heartofalion]

[He thought a moment.]

Then he'll probably be scaling the counters and stuff even if I keep yelling at him.

[Or probably misbehave while he isn't home.]

Ya right.

[There was a small laugh in his tone as he said that.]

Indeed he will. There are some tips you can use to train the kitty not to. Ignis and I will write up a list this evening, and I can have a delivery sent with that and some supplies through the Minimoff company.

[heartofalion]

[Leon tried not to react about getting something delivered through Tommy's company but he didn't say anything.]

I appreciate that. I'm sure they'll help out.

[skyward_eyes]

[Why should he react to that? It's just a delivery.]

I'm sure they will. I should get on that now actually.
