I have had many students whose personal magecraft has costs.” Not that Waver thought all of them were right, or that he didn’t wish they had more choice or chance at a proper childhood sometimes… But he gave them a safe environment to grow and learn at school, and the odd time he heard them admit that it was hard to deny he felt better about what he was doing with his life.
