Once the cleaning was done Nida pulls his hands apart and the surface tension on the water broke. It feel in a loud splash from his hands. Which was a relief actually. The whole thing had been a headache to maintain.

"It can be difficult, yes," he admits, "but it was something I was raised to accept as an exchange. Guess even once we knew what the cost was it didn't seem so lofty to me. I was a soldier, more or less. There are always memories i could live without."
