Mystic eyes are something that certain mages are born with, or rarely acquire through, other means. They aren’t exactly common, though. They come with their own set of magic circuits, and come with different effects. The kind I mentioned would be called mystic eyes of compulsion; I’ve also met someone with fairy eyes that allowed him to see the fae if one had come across realms, and I know someone whose eyes are capable of precision analysis that reacts to coming in contact with magical energy.
