Okay maybe it looks exactly like Haru in a mask. She thinks she's completely clever and in disguise. A very wonderful disguise. In the background the Harbor District can sort of be seen. There are at least glimpses of it through the mist, particularly off in the far distance where the lighthouse is. ]

Hello, everyone! I'm Noir and I thought I should bring everyone's attention to this! [ she dramatically turns and points to the lighthouse and the swirling mist around it. ] So far it simply seems to be thick and encasing the area, but villainy could be afoot! Besides that I have been hearing some terrible rumors circulating! Rumors are always worthy of investigation in my experience.

So, I turn to you all. Has anyone else heard the rumors? What do you make of them? Is the mist concerning to anyone else?

Most of all though I wish to tell all of you to stay safe out there!

[ Waver is slightly bemused by this video feed. Why in the heck is the young lady he spoke to about her cafe menu ideas currently wearing a mask and calling herself ‘Noir?’ He’s getting slight deja vu vibes from his recent chance meeting with Ren... If this were Flat and Svin, he’d ask the boys who they were trying to fool here. However Haru is a polite young lady, and has never annoyed him. She gets polite but curious, Waver. ]

Good day, ah… Noir, was it? [ He awkwardly almost needs to correct himself. He’s only human! ] I admit that I’ve heard some murmurs here and there when I was out recently on an errand. Sounds to me like the world has thrown us it’s next attempt at a b horror film.

[ Because she's a hero! And she's not trying to fool anyone, this is definitely a wonderful disguise and she sounds totally different. If different meant exactly the same but with obvious forced fake confidence! ]

Correct, Noir the Phantom Thief. [ She does a very dramatic bow that perfectly displays the huge feather on her hate. ] A b horror film, really? Oh that would be very exciting!

[By the look on his face, it's evident he's just as concerned about it, but he's just Ren at the moment, and while the corner of his mouth is twitching up in amusement, he's keeping it under control for the most part.]

What rumors have you heard?

[In his experience, and hers as well, rumors are a big deal, and there's usually a shred of truth to them.]

Exciting… That’s one word for it. [ How does someone who seems as sweet as Haru find the idea of being in a b horror film exciting?? Waver feels like he’d be one of the first people dead in one of those. ] But I think I could do with a little less excitement myself.

[ Oh, she would be delighted to know that! Somehow it doesn't occur to her at all that this should perhaps be a bit embarrassing on her end. Or that she was being theatrical at all. This was simply how a Phantom Thief should act, right? Or at least the ones on her shows did and they were very heroic. ]

What word might you use? [ Ah, now she just sounds a bit dejected. ] Oh dear, well, I'm quite sorry to hear that. Perhaps the excitement will skip you? [ See! It could be entirely possible that he'll avoid it. ]

No, I didn't feel it'd be a good idea to make an attempt on my own completely.

[ Haru sounding dejected and/or sad at all is honestly a weapon she is unaware of. He feels awkward! But also valid for not finding this exciting, it’s a conflicted set of emotions, his least favourite thing. ]

Ah… I would probably use a word less… Positive than ‘exciting.’ Though you may not be the only one to see it that way, some here are more suited for these heroics, after all. [ He tried! No one can say he didn’t try to be more agreeable…! If only marginally. ] Perhaps it will, but my experience here or in my own world tends to suggest the fates have other ideas in mind.

[ Excitement skipping him is so rare, too rare. It’s a wonder he’s not dead. The professor might be slightly relieved to hear her say that, though. That she would be cautious, even in her excitement. ]

That’s a sensible decision, really. I haven’t either for similar reasons. Perhaps if you get some assistance I could trouble you to bring me samples of the fog and let me know what you and your companions find?
