[ Aerith is in her garden tending to leaves when a few of them fall down. Memories. Well, she kinda expected it'd happen to her eventually too. So, she's not...entirely surprised. Still...the memories distract her enough to get caught up in the garden and her thoughts. ]

Hojo is a psycho. He's gross, disgusting, and a terrible person. Talks about dissecting her mother and just being generally creepy.

I couldn't ever figure out their true motives. And to me they got in the way more often than not.

[Not to mention being critical of the Soldiers.]

Yeah, you did. [ She tries to not sound a bit sad there, tries really really hard. ] I wish...well, it doesn't matter about wishes I guess. And I don't want to be depressing.

I kinda wish I wasn't, but unfortunately I am. He kinda got into though after a bit. I think Andrea helped him see a new side of himself.

Me neither really. I think...they just follow orders from the President and that's about all they think about. They definitely got in my way a lot too.

It wasn't as bad as it seemed. I was kind of petulant sometimes as a child. [ And definitely not now. Nope, not ever. ]

Yeah....they...they were people with really bad Mako poisoning.

Right. [And not now. Not at all, ever.]

...I've seen them, I think. [And sometimes...he speaks through them.]

Not having an idea when you’re used to having some idea… That can be rather scary, can’t it? Leaving what one knows for the unknown always makes things seem so much larger, though I suppose even ending up in a place like this can show there was so much more than the worlds we knew out there.

Perhaps it’s something to keep in mind… Or maybe we’ll see someone arrive at some point who is different from those of us who have arrived before.

[He has that same wish, and he knows there’s no point in reaching for it. He made a decision. He wouldn’t be the man she had cared for if he had left Cloud behind. His Honor would never have allowed it.]

That sounds par for the course with them. Whatever the President wants, he'll get his minions to do. And their loyalty can be scary sometimes.

[This had him fold his arms over his chest as he listened to the rest and a very slight smile showed.]

That sounds like the Cloud I know back home.

Yeah, we saw one with the kids. [ And he'd been really weird around that one. She leaned her body slightly and tilted her head. ] Where'd you see one?

[cetrary]

[ She falls silent for a few seconds. ] Mmm, yeah. Sometimes I thought about leaving, but I just couldn't imagine being away from the big steel skies of Midgard. The sky seems endless now that we've left. It's pretty daunting to think about. [ Terrifying really, but she won't readily admit hat. she's gotten close here. ] At least with this place I've gotten more and more used to it. When I first got here it was really a change though!

Maybe. I kinda hope not though. I like it how it is here.

Well, I'm not trying to say that dance moves that look more like fighting are bad but uh, maybe they weren't that great? [ She's trying to be nice!!! ]

Is he also really quiet and grumpy sometimes?

Very scary. And now they're all following Rufus since h e's the president now. [ Will it be any better with him? She's not sure. ]

And I'm really glad for that. [ She pauses for a second. ] You know what we should do sometime? We should have a picnic!

I haven't had a picnic since I first came to Midgar. And not that often in Gongaga. Touch-Mes were big on interrupting.

I agree... Even the situation seems somewhat unnatural. I find myself hopeful that it doesn’t change in that sense as well.

[He silently chuckled at Aerith's description of Cloud's dance moves. That must've been something to see. But at the question he nodded.]

Yup, sounds like he didn't change no matter what world he's in.
