[ Aerith is in her garden tending to leaves when a few of them fall down. Memories. Well, she kinda expected it'd happen to her eventually too. So, she's not...entirely surprised. Still...the memories distract her enough to get caught up in the garden and her thoughts. ]

Hojo is a psycho. He's gross, disgusting, and a terrible person. Talks about dissecting her mother and just being generally creepy.

Yeah. I think that's the only honest bit of information he's ever given anyone. Not that anyone wanted to believe that he was telling the truth. Even I never really thought they'd go that far.

That's really true! I think we're all lucky there. I don't think there are many people here who don't get along. Which is surprising given how things usually are, you know?

[The guy was practically Shinra, and Zack had come to know how bad Shinra was. So he could believe it.]

I'm sorry you had to deal with it.

We got him a really nice dress! And had some help with makeup.

Don't be. I'm just glad we were able to get as many people out as we did.

[Reno had a long way to go in Angeal's eyes. He liked to look menacing, but the former First thought his scrawny ass couldn't find his way out a wet paper bag.]

Investigations seemed to be one of their favourite things to tag along for.

That's nice of you to say. I'm not so sure, but I appreciate it!

Yup! We even got him to do a dance. You should have seen that, he was a surprisingly not terrible dancer!

Would you believe we didn't actually do too much to it?

Did they tag along to help or just to make sure nobody was doing anything they shouldn't? [ Sometimes she thought maybe the purpose of the Turks was just to be guard dogs for Shinra and make sure nobody stepped too far out of line. ]

Quite! it’s quite peaceful compared to what one normally sees in a place where so many different people are gathered together. It’s wonderful, of course, to see that such a community is possible… But it is strange at times, as well.

So he's got secret dance moves.

That was probably closer to what their mission was. Babysit and dig up all of the information they could, both on the situation and who they were babysitting.

Isn't weird to think of a place like this as peaceful of all things? But it really is. I wonder why it is that people seem to get along so well. Maybe they have more say in who gets brought in after all?

[cetrary]

Oh yeah! Very secret. Though...I'll give you a tiny hint. They look a bit like him fighting.

[cetrary]

[ She sighs. ] Sounds like them. I know they're not completely terrible but...sometimes I don't know.

[cetrary]

I guess I'll just have to take your word for it.

You're welcome! I mean, I think I have to take your word for it. After all you're kinda a bit hero yourself, right?

Exactly, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen people get along so well. Any trouble we see seems to have been born of something going wrong with the world rather than those who live here. Perhaps there is some condition that those of us brought here meet to have been pulled in by the portal?

[cetrary]

I do. I don't even know where it'll go anymore. Not really. I used to...sort of have an idea. But, we left Midgar for now. The world is a lot bigger than I ever really even realized.

[cetrary]

Maybe. It does seem like the people brought him all seem kind of heroic in some way.
