[ Yusuke had been wandering the park for inspiration when his attention is captured by the beautiful autumn leaves. The teen certainly did not realize that the odd nostalgic flood of memories that followed along his stroll had been shared upon the network.

No, instead he was simply musing over the past without really knowing why as he collected the various colourful leaves on his path. ]

[It wasn't that Tommy had gone looking. He was just out on his deliveries. And, being him, he had no fucking time to pay attention to the leaves. But when his phone made noises, he knew he had to check it. It wasn't like it would take long. Except...

Except yeah. He saw the memory, and in his fury, when it was done, he went seeking. Because his rage wasn't one he could easily hold on something like this. He had tried to keep his learning things from others later, especially with things like memories. He had enough Sphere experience to do that. But this?

He comes up behind Yusuke, stopping in a sudden swirl of leaves.]

Dude, i don't know what's up, but I should warn you about something.

Ah...Yusuke...[ Mitsuru knows all too well what it's like to have someone you trust betray you so deeply. ] I'm not certain what's going on precisely but it would seem a memory was played for us.

Madarame really was much more awful than I could have imagined. [ Wait, she shouldn't just open with that. This is pretty invasive! ] I-I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have watched fully but it just came on....

[ Aerith probably shouldn't look amused after having spied on someone's memory, but it wasn't like she'd wanted to. It just happened! And the lobsters...well. How could you not be amused by it? ]

You know, they are pretty neat looking! Not sure if they were worth the last bit of your money though....

[ It had been a while since he’d seen Tommy, and the teen certainly hadn’t expected the speedster to just suddenly come up behind him, stirring up the leaves he’d been collecting for inspiration for a project… Turning on his heel rather quickly, he tilted his head slightly.

Normally he’d offer a polite greeting, a ‘Good afternoon, Tommy, lovely to see you again!’ or something near enough to that… But the words that followed the guy’s approach had him a bit confused. ]

Warn me? Of what? It’s been fairly quiet since the mirror incident, has it not?

Mitsuru? What do you mean? [ The teen checked his phone with a quizzical look on his face, and… Oh no. The audio cuts slightly as he sees the broadcast she meant before it came back… He had already felt a little off to have found himself dwelling on the memory again, but this was worse, somehow. ] What is the meaning of this? I never… I certainly never put that on the network??

You needn’t apologize, Haru… You aren’t the only one who watched, after all, and I believe most people would open broadcasts on the network out of habit to begin with. [ And better a friend and teammate than… who knew how many other people and strangers, right? Still, he feels awkward to have had it come to light, and the emotions were a little harder to contain at the reminder. ] He… He was a horrible man, behind the facade that I had refused to see through. But we did change his heart, in the end.

[ Admittedly, her amusement and the fact that she agreed concerning lobsters is a nice break from the… other memories shared. ]

Aren’t they simply magnificent? And I assure you, they were well worth the money! They inspired quite a lot of potential art pieces after I took them home.

[ They were absolutely not worth the last of his money. He really was terrible with money. ]

I mean, depends on your definition of quiet.

[Tommy produces his phone and holds it out to Yusuke, video open.]

Figure you might not be as used to this as the small collection of us who came here via the Sphere are. It can be... jarring.

I know...still, it seemed rather personal to be shown to us all. [ She frowns deeply and sympathically. Both her hands are folded together as she looks away from the camera. ] I can understand why you refused to see it. Nobody wants to accept that someone they loved could have such terrible motives.

I mean a man speaking about your mother was just broadcast to us all and-- [ well, he'd figured it out and now she felt a bit terrible about having seen that at all. She was certainly a private person herself and having something like that shared? She felt terrible on his behalf. ]

No, I doubt you would have the capability of putting your memory up like this. It must be a trick of this place for some reason.

[ Aerith is here to help lighten the mood a bit. Or try. ]

You took them home? [ What does one do with living lobsters in their house??? ]

What about food? How'd you manage to eat if you spent all your money on them?

[ Yusuke took the offered phone. Had he missed something? Hm… He had left it in his bag while he was walking. Holding up the screen to get a look at the video, he watches curiously, and then… His expression shifted, the young man paling slightly to see the memory that had crossed his mind not long before Tommy had appeared to show him. Eyes fixed on the screen, a particular pain evident at having to see it play out visibly outside his own mind again… Then he finally speaks up quietly. ]

What on earth… How could this be on the network? I never posted this! I don’t understand… [ Tearing his eyes away from the screen; he offered the phone back at Tommy with a shaky hand. How much had Tommy seen before he found him? Had he watched the whole thing? How many other people had? This wasn’t something he was keen to share with the world, after all. ] You say this as though such a thing is normal??

That I cannot deny… I would much prefer such personal things to have been kept to myself, or at least been given the choice of if I shared it with people or not. [ More likely that he would have chosen not to, of course, and perhaps that was the point behind whatever this all was. Haru’s understanding did make sense, at least based on what she said of her own father… ] You’re right… But it is better to know the truth and to accept it than to remain blind and live in a lie, at least in hindsight. Though I will never forgive him… I still find myself oddly wishing that it weren’t true some days.

It's quite rude to not give someone a choice, particularly with their own memories! [ Perhaps it was a tiny bit childish of her to say it was rude but it really was rude! She frowned and cast her eyes down ] I understand. I felt quite similar with my own father. Have you ever had the desire to speak to him again?

I did! I had to sneak them into the Kosei dormitory, but I did manage it. [ A phantom at his finest! ] Uh…

[ Her follow up question is harder to answer. ] Well, we all had lunch as a group before I purchased the lobsters? It was quite a pleasant and delicious meal, I must say.

[ That doesn’t answer any meal following that, of course. ]

But why would someone have even done this, or is this the result of some terrible mistake that I’ve heard this world is prone to experiencing? [ He is grasping at straws a bit, unable to understand why anyone would have thought it a good idea to share their personal lives without permission. ] I can’t even remove it…? It doesn’t allow the person it came from to delete the broadcast, for all the good it would do now if people have already seen that horrible moment...

[yeah, that's what he expected.]

Sorry, kid. I'm definitely more used to this, but it's only the second time here. Back in the place that had me before, it happened about four times a year. Everyone could see it. Experience it too.

How long were you able to keep them? Did you get them a tank? I have a lot of questions. [ How could anyone not have a lot of questions about this?? ]

But if that was all your money then what'd you do later? You can't just have one meal a day and you'd need a meal for the next day, right?

Agreed, I am unsure who might have caused this or how, but it is terribly rude to have done this. [ Childish or not, Yusuke agreed. Some things he wouldn’t have minded, like the clip he spotted of his lobsters still on the feed. But something like this memory? It was another matter entirely. ] I expect we should be wary, at least until we find out how they’ve achieved this.

[ He wished he knew how if only to warn Haru away from whatever it was. If that was at all possible… ]

.. It might seem odd, but sometimes, perhaps I do. Though I’m also not sure what I would say.

That other place sounds positively horrible. Why would this be a normal part of any place? [ If this happened once before, what if this place was going to somehow shift to be like that? The teen clearly needed a minute as he slipped his own phone out of his bag, checking in vain to see if the broadcasts could at least be removed. ] It’s a horrible invasion of privacy. I never would have wanted anyone to see such parts of my life… It doesn’t even seem like they can be removed.

I had help from a friend. We found an old tank to put them in, so I hid it behind my canvases! I should still have them, since that was actually one of the last days before my arrival here.

[ Awkardness returns. Aerith the boy forgets to eat in favour of working on things. You aren’t going to like his answers. ]

It’s quite alright! I am rather accustomed to being productive with fewer meals. I often get caught up in working on my art or assignments and rather lose track of time. [ Not helping your case, bud. ] But I do try to keep instant ramen and the like when it’s on sale, I make it last. So it’s nothing to be concerned with. I do eat; I assure you!

I'm not certain what the purpose would be, if there even is one. Perhaps it was an accident? Though I'm uncertain how it could be an accident. [ How precisely would these devices reach into their memories? That's quite a distressing though. ] That is rather strange that you cannot even remove it... [ and seemingly cruel. Too cruel to be just an accident she wagers. ]

For what it's worth, I doubt any who see it would think anything less of you. Quite the opposite truthfully.

Oh! That's nice that your friend helped you! Did you name them? [ That's the important question here. ]

That's not healthy at all though! Creativity needs a healthy brain and a healthy brain needs healthy food. Not instant ramen and skipped meals.

I'm not certain either. I've never seen anything go wrong with these communicators. I don't see how it could be something we've done. [ But who could possibly have caused it...? ]

I can understand that. I'm not certain what there would be to say either. Perhaps...asking him about it all? [ But what might that actually accomplish? ]
