"So no to opening it? A shame." She put her hand down and then folded them over her chest while a smirk toyed with the edges of her lips. She really shouldn't be teasing someone in a time like this but she'd been a part of the New Mutants. A part of the X-Men. The Sorceress Supreme of Limbo. You do all those things and you kind of learn to go with the flow and make the best of things. Besides, the New Mutants liked to be quippy when they fought. Sometimes she liked to remember that even if it brought a strange pang of sadness. "Do you think opening it would cause the fifth remake of Night of the Living Dead?" Maybe sometime she'd have to figure out how many sequels and remakes there were to that franchise now.
He might be surprised about how willing she was to babysit. But it would ruin her hard image to just tell him that up front that she sometimes did the whole heroic thing.
"It didn't show me anything I hadn't seen before." In fact it had shown her something she distinctly didn't want to see again. "Darkchilde." And she was willing to offer up just a bit of that. It was generous of her, at least she thought so. She gave a nod at his response. "I guess we both made a mistake." It seemed easier to just admit that than admit they made a mistake. This was a good story to stick to for them both. "My stepping discs aren't working."
