“Agreed.” Well, that was a small relief, not needing to worry about any awkward corrections when someone inevitably forgot ‘the second’ was for the best, after all. It got exhausting and felt slightly ridiculous to need to insist on it sometimes. ‘Professor’ was far more… him at the end of the day. It was what he was, far more than a temporary Lord.
Looking around the space again, he supposed it was about time he figured out what needed doing around here. To clean it up enough to make it usable, to figure out how to get ride of what wasn’t needed… So he offered Ren a raised brow at the joking offer, the huff that escaped more amused than anything. “Thank you, Ren.” He added in response to the luck, pulling back his hair to tie it out of his face as he got started.
Then, over his shoulder, he cast a glance. “Careful not to run into any trouble on the way back. Plenty of shifty people around these parts.” He added with a tone too serious to actually be serious, knowing full well that he rather counted as one such person. The professor had a feeling he’d be seeing more of the teen around, and admittedly, he was curious about what the arrangement would come to when the time came.
But for now, he needed to get the place in shape… So he let Ren go at that, picking his way through the dusty tavern with a focused mumble to himself.
