ask_whydunit: (A break)

Not a problem, huh? Well, Waver had to thank him, anyway. As awkward as he is, he does know how to be grateful to receiving help. It saved him a fair amount of trouble getting in, both with wasted time and energy that was better used on the cleanup of this place.

The mage could appreciate that particular sentiment. Dreaming big was something his king had been in favour of… Every day Waver continued to try to move forward, he was always reaching for what seemed like an unobtainable horizon. A fool’s errand, in his opinion, but he was loyal to someone to a fault and the idea of giving up seemed like an insult. His workshop wasn’t a big part of that, of course, but he needed a space to work on his skills and research for improvement. He wanted to be better, to be worthy, to make the next time count. If there was a next time…

The suggestions get a brief nod as he tugged a cigar out of the case in his hands, lighting it. It wasn’t a normal cigar, for all some of his colleagues hadn’t really figured that out yet. They were mystic codes for a variety of purposes. This one being a temporary bounded field to secure the space for him to work. Gray had always described their sweet scent as oddly comforting when she was in a panic. Taking a small drag from it, he glanced at Terra again. “That sounds about right. I’ll have to see if I can have a word with the owners of both at some point.” Keep an eye out for anywhere that might need them. Preferably people willing to do the work to come and collect them, since he wasn’t lugging this stuff across the city.
