There was actually a weird kind of comfort in the lack of recognition in Arthur’s eyes at the name. If he had been a mage from Waver’s world, he probably would have recognized it and the reaction might not have been pleasant. He was considered a joke by most of the other lords, or by the mages from older, more prestigious families given the Velvet family were only third generations and he was the first to take practicing magic seriously. He was someone to be looked down on, or a potential pawn to be manipulated depending on if they could force him to choose sides and shift the balance at the Clock Tower before his foster sister Reines was old enough to take her rightful place as the next Lord El-Melloi.
He nodded though, noting the bucket and water. He had some cleaning supplies in his bag, along with the supplies for class as well. At least the news that there were plenty of other classrooms open meant he could put stuff down soon. Still, he wasn’t particularly fond of cleaning… But he also liked to keep an organized and tidy classroom, so he was going to have his work cut out for him. “I had heard that this place was in desperate need of cleaning, so I was at least somewhat prepared for that.” He gestured to the bag over his shoulder. “Though it would seem you have this space well on its way to being in order.” He added with a glance around at the progress Arthur had already made.
