"That's not what you are though, is it?" He seemed like he played pranks, but he didn't seem as though childlike would be fit him as a description. Perhaps she should have spent more time studying the myths and legends of her own home. Between school and her grandfather's whims she had little chance to pursue things of her own choosing.

She made a thoughtful humming noise as she thought about his statement. "Strange to think there might be more similarities between us than we might otherwise note." But perhaps not surprising. The tales she did know often gave yokai certain human characteristics; such as a drive for revenge or the ability to love.
