The hug was a surprise, but not an unwelcome one, considering his own habit of forgetting personal space and the alarming situation they were currently in. If anything, it was appreciated given it solidified that she was really there in front of him and not some kind of hallucination born of this place, coupled with his panic from before.

They had found each other, and together, hopefully, they could find a way out of this. The teen didn’t want to entertain the thought that they might be trapped in this place permanently, considering it was impossible to leave the way they came in… At least not without certain conditions or keys, perhaps. It was something they would need to think about, perhaps once they’d had a chance to calm down and work out their anxieties.

Her comment gets a quick shake of his head. “No more foolish than I was, I’m sure. It was… Too strange to look upon one’s reflection that seemed so off without reacting in some way.” Even if the smarter reaction might have been to do anything but touch it… Still, he’d acted without thinking himself, and so they were both guilty of being somewhat foolish, he was sure. “We shall simply have to find out way back out of this place together, yes? There must be a way back out of here. Perhaps other mirrors might reveal the solution?”
