“I would appreciate that until such a time I can prove it to be true!” He responded, sounding quite earnest, even at the lightness in her tone. The teen was taking it to mean that she was at least not going to be cross with him for the weather, and to trust that he hadn’t had a hand in it… Which he certainly hoped that he hadn’t. That would be a terrible fate to have, to bring rain wherever he went at the worst possible moment! “I will look forward to sharing. We’ll have to find a location somewhere that such a display might not be disruptive. Perhaps just outside the city, or in an area that is already in an ill state of disrepair.”
Yusuke beamed, despite the rain still beating down. “I shall be sure to keep that in mind, then. It’s good to know someone appreciates such forms of humor. I have always found plays on words and puns to be such clever and amusing things.” He responded with a light tone, still unaware of what was about to befall him…
And when it did, and she had voiced her concern, he let out a small muffled groan at his ill-luck. Pushing himself up on his elbows and glancing up at her with a sand covered face like some kind of beach-monster. He tried to dash some of it off his face with a hand, frowning a little at the texture. Wet sand was only good for sand-sculptures and castles… They did not need the extra exfoliation today! “I believe so, unless you count my pride and my nose being a little sore.” He added, rubbing it lightly before trying to push himself back to his feet. “What an accursed afternoon this has turned out to be for us, drenched like shipwreck victims and fated to carry the beach without any say in the matter!” He uttered a touch (more like a lot) dramatically.
