"It...was strange to be called such even when I was not really me." By strange she meant terribly confusing, especially given how adamant he had been about it. She had felt like an imposter and the worst part was she was technically correct in that. Before she had reclaimed her soul she hadn't truly been Illyana. "Much colder than it was here.
