A family of kids who really did adore and appreciate him, if Mono’s words were true. Which, of course, they were. The kid really didn’t think lying was necessary outside circumstances where he didn’t think the adults in his life would like the truth concerning his world. So he was happy to have shared that bit of information with the guy, especially since Tommy seemed to need it of late.
