Jacob blinked and then grinned at the warm feeling that spread over his skin. "Ah. So you can do that too." His dark hazel eyes sparkled at the nostalgic feeling that followed through his body. "I had a friend who could do that too. Sam." He hadn't talked to her in years and he suddenly felt bad for not keeping in touch.

Keeping up with relationships had always been a struggle for him. It was easier in the city because he couldn't really stay away from people but instead continued to run into them.

"I'm sure someone else would have if it wasn't me. I'm probably the lucky one." Except that he had a cut across his forearm from his initial rescue of the little pup. It was really the only good thing to have happened to him in the last few weeks.
