Once Mono was finished with transferring dishes from the table to the counter next to the sink, he nodded quickly. “Okay! I’ll do that, and when I find your coat I’ll bring it back!” He added, standing back from the counter and then glancing at the table to make sure he hadn’t missed stuff… Then, satisfied, he turned to hurry off to his room to get changed to go. He did, of course, stop long enough to respond to Ignis when the man thanked him for his help. Being thanked was always nice, after all, and he’d learned that responding was polite. “You’re welcome. Thanks for the food!” He added, then he was finally off like a shot.
The kid returned shortly after that, dressed for the day in a comfortable shirt and pants. His newsboy cap sat snug on his head with his old trench coat pulled on. It was just more comfortable at the end of the day. One might liken his stubbornness over it being rather like a security blanket, if the boy knew what that was. Trotting into the kitchen, he looked around to see if the other two were there already or if they had moved to another room, Nida’s jacket clutched in one hand to give to the man as promised. “I’m ready! Got your jacket too. It was upstairs.”
