Between the look on her face and the realization that she definitely had never had chocolate ice cream before? It wouldn’t have mattered if it was expensive. There was no way the detective was going to do anything other than buy them each a chocolate ice cream cone now. It wouldn’t sit right with him for one, and for another… Well, she deserved it for too many reasons to count, in his opinion. “Not at all, I assure you. I believe I happen to have more than enough to cover a cone of chocolate ice cream for both of us.”
