Yuki did notice and for his part he thought maybe something was troubling the detective. But he didn't want to be rude and ask. Surely the man had more than enough on his mind with disappearing without a word. And that made him dither as to who had it worse, the detective or his husband Rhy.
There was a nervousness that was more pronounced now, or should he somehow describe it as agitation? Either way he really wasn't sure and would keep an eye on it. The only reason he'd do that was to make sure Llewellyn was okay because something really did seem off.
However, when the man spoke up he saw that smile. And Yuki found himself trying to think up ways to make him do more of that. So he let the topic of the 'when' float off and he smiled in return. "I saw what a beautiful job she did at Nida sensei's wedding, so I just..didn't get to talk to her at the wedding."
With a combination of being shy and Cloud seeming like he was permanently attached to her side, he just didn't get there at the time. Cloud was a nice guy even if he tried pretending he wasn't, and had been so very nice and patient to show him how to ride a chocobo. But Aerith was his magnet.
He didn't really understand it at the time. However, now that he and Jacob were together he did get it.
So again he tried to steer away from that night too because it had hurt everyone and no one was to blame. "Well I'm going to talk to Lauri-Ell about maybe moving our plants closer to here, so they're all in one general area. Then we could help more people that way."
There were a few people he knew he could count on to help with that project. It would just be a matter of screwing up enough courage in order to put a voice to it.
