Questions would likely have been met with more vague responses and an overall annoying tendency to change the subject. For someone as nosey as the detective was, Llewellyn was quite difficult when the table was turned. Especially when he wasn’t in the best frame of mind, which he wasn’t given, he was at the tavern to let the mask of ‘fine’ slip a little.

But Ignis’s story gave Llewellyn something to focus on, and it was interesting to hear a little more about the other two’s history. So he picked up his glass again for another long sip as he turned the story over in his head. “He didn’t want to come in here?” Interesting, he mused, the tavern wasn’t as fancy as some establishments… But he liked the atmosphere alright. Of course, the detective didn’t really know about Nida not drinking. He would have understood better if he did. “Funny how food can bring people together… Who ended up uh- winning the little game?”

Both, he’d wager- well… not wager. He didn’t gamble anymore and even with recent developments in his life, he hadn’t been about to let himself fall that far. But Llewellyn was reasonably certain they both would consider themselves the victor, considering their relationship.
