"I'm glad you've gotten ample opportunity to practice." Whether or not she would, well, that was an uncertainty. The idea of approaching strangers here just to practice conversation seemed a bit too out there for her. Though, she supposed if what he was saying was true, then at least she could take comfort in knowing that she wouldn't be too judged.
"I...no, it's not." Her head dipped down and she felt a twisted pang in her heart. The last thing she wanted to do though was bring her own problems to someone else. Especially one as young as him. So, she simply tried to force herself to look less depressed than she felt. "I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I hope you're able to find each other again." And that it lasts longer than her reunion had.
"I see. So a Calamity of some kind happened here and that's what caused us to be brought in?" At least that made sense, though she did wish she had more information about what this Calamity actually was. It was just frustratingly similar to how little they knew about the Fall. "Oh, the Fall was something we recently found out about where I'm from. There's little we currently know about it other than the fact that should it go through the entire world will be at risk." And that they would be responsible for it in a way. This was not a subject she wanted to discuss for long.
"It would be nice if they could learn from us and then stand on their own." Then maybe they'd be sent back home. Somehow, she found herself doubting that idea though. It seemed that people were often far too comfortable with simply letting others do everything for them and they rarely grew from that.
