"The adults in power have recently proven themselves...less than trustworthy." There was an icy edge to her tone that betrayed just how much recent events might have bothered her. She'd never been particularly trusting of others, not after what she'd experienced as a child. However, she'd never even considered the possibility that someone she'd admired so much could ever betray them so drastically. It was still difficult for her to wrap her head around what had been lost.

"Maybe we'll be able to change that as we grow up." That was her goal at the very least.

"That makes sense, I suppose I'll have to look for something eventually then." Not that she really had any idea what she could possibly do in this place for work. "I'm afraid my work experience is rather...specialized." Meaning that it was mostly in upper management. "Do these guards usually take care of whatever bad thing is happening? Or do they just warn us and leave it?"
