The drying process took some time but by the end of it Luna was smiling at the cute puppy happily wriggling beneath her affectionate touch. It was impossible not to smile when confronted with such a cute scrunchy face.
The blanket was uncomfortably damp and smelled like wet-dog but it had gotten the job done and had somehow dried the skin exposed by Luna's dress. She had dropped it to the floor when Pretzel rolled over and began to scratch at his belly. Luna had to kneel so she could reach Pretzel's entire tummy but she didn't mind. She was beginning to fall in love with him and didn't know what her life in the city would have been if she hadn't meet him.
Luna looked up after the detective returned and stopped her frantic petting. She had already placed her shoes at the front door to minimize the amount of water that she trailed through the house however the path she took to grab the blanket was noticeably marked with droplets of water.
She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do with everything gathered in Llewellyn's arms.
