Jacob considered her question before shrugging. "I have no idea. It depends on what it's based on." He thought about it a little longer but eventually shook his head. "You're welcome to if you want. I don't think I'd notice... others might." It'd likely piss off his boy friend but maybe no one would notice. He'd still act like he was trying to be good and considerate.

"It was easier not to care." A part of him missed his lack of empathy but that same lack of empathy caused him to stab and abandon his sister. "I can agree with that."

He sighed and scratched the back of his neck. "I don't know if people really need souls or not. I don't really know what a soul is. If it's a conscience then other people can do the job, can't they? We just have to listen."
