Oh, Mono definitely had noticed the man was tall. That was part of the issue, really. Tall people… Truly tall people? Reminded him a lot of people in his world and while most of them were probably as nice as everyone else was in this world… They were the few who still made him nervous.

Following the guy around to get a read on him to see if he was nice had backfired quite spectacularly. Mono let out a yelp as the blast jolted the pipe, scrabbling to keep a hold of the pie and a foot-hold against the wall, but inevitably slipping away and falling in his panic. He sure was looking forward to those climbing improvement lessons he’d recently been offered. It wasn’t like Mono wasn’t used to falling from heights; it happened now and again, but it was never fun and could put him at a disadvantage very easily.
