Ignis nodded. "Then I shall expect you there, and I will inform the hunters that you and Pretzel will be there so that we can leave a table open for the both of you."

And as he listened, he thought of work of course. The hunters sometimes brought in small children who'd been orphaned or found on the streets begging for food. Sometimes they fed the kids themselves from their own provisions and sometimes they brought the kids to the lodge. Ignis of course fed them without charge if the hunters didn't seem to have enough coin. And it silently broke his heart to think of how lost and frightened the kids were.

Those thoughts made him bring up the possibility. "There may be children there from time to time so they may be curious about your pup there. They're found wandering the streets and sometimes with no memory of who they are or even their own names. So the hunters bring them in and they're fed." He shook his head. "Most have seemed well behaved."

And that made him wonder if he couldn't have an addition built onto the lodge for them, because at least they'd be safe. And fed, he'd see to that personally.
