Llewellyn’s brow rose a little as Ignis volunteered, a smile crossing his face. He was, after all, getting a little worried about Pretzel’s training coming to a standstill until he could find people. “Is that so? Well, um… Thank you, Ignis. I appreciate that.” Even if payment wasn’t necessary… It wouldn’t sit well with Llewellyn to not offer something in thanks. Snacks from the market were the usual go to, but Ignis cooked so… Something else would have to be worked out. Perhaps his husband would have an idea. “It would be a big help, and where the lodge is closer to the woods, it would be good to get him used to searching around there as much as it will help to get him used to searching the city.”
Humming a little, the detective considered Pretzel for a moment. “So far his experience is with toys and personal items hidden around the park, mostly.” That aside, he also had to add on one thought out of caution. “Probably best too if you wear something you’re not worried about getting dog hair on, just to avoid inconveniencing your fiancé.” Llewellyn, of course, was not yet aware that Nida had secured allergy medicine from Raimon. He was a cautious man when it came to health-related issues.
Ignis was right, of course. Like most things, one needed to ask… He was quite good at asking questions. It was just a matter of priorities and remembering to ask. If something work related came up, something that meant someone needed help with something instead, the detective was prone to jumping rather rapidly. It could make him a bit hard to keep up with at times.
