It was a little strange for him to look at the future so optimistically, to look forward to it... But it was also hard to not when he had Rhy at his side and their little dog with them now. Llewellyn found himself wanting to enjoy it all, so many new experiences they could share together as a family that he hadn’t gotten to properly before. It would be good for both of them, and Llewellyn was rather excited by the idea.
The detective found himself laughing softly as Pretzel struggled and made the most ridiculous sounds as he tugged at the stick back and forth with Rhy. The dog’s tail going so fast that it might just fall off. Finally, once Rhy had thrown it again, Pretzel took off at another one of his mad dashes. Barking excitedly the whole distance as he went after the stick. “I uh- dare say you’re off to a good start, dear. It's good to see him so excited again.”
The pup rolled a little in the grass, dancing around the stick a bit before he snagged it and made his way back. “He does learn quickly though, and it’ll be nice to be able to teach him a few more games.”
