[Oh boy, what a night that was. Nida hadn't been able to sleep after the Earthquake started.]

I'm going to warn everyone about last night. That quake? It was magic. I could feel it, like I felt before the Aspects disappeared, before the Demon Bear. Something's coming.

Please, be careful. Don't be alone. Stay off the streets at night.

[His voice is shaking with a bit of fear. But last night had been bad. Real bad.]

Yes, but it seems they failed and broke things instead.

'Wise' higher powers seem to do that a lot.

So very true. One almost would wish that they would just stop messing with things they clearly do not understand fully.

They do it because... well, who knows why. I just know that it could hurt us.

I imagine they do it in a misguided attempt to fix things. It more than likely will hurt us. At least we are prepared for the worst.

They want to send us home, I understand. I don't much care for it.

At least we can get armed easily enough.

You don't care much for the idea of going home?

No. I'd much rather not be involved with my world.

What did your world do to you?

Nothing I feel like talking about. But the fact is that there are those I'd rather live my life beside than going home. So that's a goal.

Your goal is to make certain you can stay here?

Not at all. My goal is to go with him.

Granted that was what I wanted last time too. And even he, with all his magic, couldn't get us home. So I doubt I, with far more limited spells will achieve it.

But I won't stop trying.

Any of us returning to a world that is not our own could have very bad consequences for that world. It never works out well for people from alternate realities to stay in a world that is not their origin.

Well aren't you such a downer?

I am a realist. A realist with considerable experience with dimensional travel.

Yeah, so did my last boyfriend. But he was pretty certain he could take me to his world with him.

[Then again, there had been a serious difference in power between Nida and the man he had loved.]

As for me, this is my third time being stolen from another world. If these places can take me, I don't see why I can't move on to another world as well.
