Accidental voice post for Earthshake at night

[For some reason Ignis' phone is on when the ground starts moving. At first it's just kind of annoying because things are falling off of the walls and really the only things he has on there are books. So a sigh is heard and a few words are muttered here and there.

Finally though more falling things are heard crashing down and Ignis is now swearing.]

What in the bloody world is going on?!

[A moment later a cat is heard crying.]

Ebony?

[And the phone goes off.]

Ebony?

[Naminé replies in a tired but alarmed voice.]

Is she missing? Or hurt? I can come help you find her.

[The earthquake had jarred her awake, leaving her in a state of panic.]

I don't want you to get hurt.

[This is said as something else comes crashing down behind him.]

[really_sketchy]

I won't.

[She might but pain isn't something that she's used too and she doesn't really know what to expect.]

Ebony can't protect herself. She needs help. I'm not far, I can come help.

[faithfulsupport]

[Just something about her is getting to him.]

Everything is shaking and falling. If you're on your way here to rescue the cat, what about if something happens to you/i>?

[She smiles confidently and it can be heard in her voice.]

Ah. I'll keep going and get there. You'll see I am safe.

[Naminé doesn't wait for him to continue to argue. She stays on the phone but she begins to head from her apartment to his, stumbling as the ground shakes.]

You're at your apartment? Right. [She breaths the words before pausing and letting something fall with a loud crash in front of her.] I'm alright. [She assures him and continues forward, holding her free arm over her head to keep her head save.]

[That doesn't make him not want to fuss and argue. Namine should be safe and protected instead of coming over to try and rescue his cat. And while he won't say he doesn't appreciate the thought, she should be more concerned about her own safety.]

I am.

[Half of him wanted to lecture her but right now her safety was paramount, so Ignis was moving as fast as he could to go meet her.]

TO ACTION!

[Naminé makes it across the square to the front door of the green building when she smacks into Ignis's chest. She's wearing her new white and blue jacket with a pair of new boots that fit her better than her original borrowed ones.]

Ignis?!

[She gasps as her hands reach out to keep herself from falling over. It's only been a few minutes but she can't imagine that the earthquake would last much longer.]

You should be looking for Ebony!

And you should be looking out for yourself and have stayed somewhere safe.

[Ignis smiled even though his tone had been crisp and no nonsense in speaking with Namine. He was glad she was safe and he could keep her that way if she had decided to traverse the town in order to help him find his beloved cat. But once her hands reached out, the advisor easily caught them in order to steady her.]

But how can I? If someone needs me!

[Her voice cut as she braces herself against Ignis. It's then that the earthquake finally ends though there are occasional tremors that shake through the ground, as if they were echoes of what they'd just experienced.]

Ebony.

[Naminé doesn't entirely answer Ignis but tries to move around him to go looking for the small cat.]

He of course was proud of her answer even if he couldn't say so out loud. This was just a kid after his own heart really, wanting to help even if it would endanger themselves. And he brings her into the house even if several things have fallen off of the shelves.

"Just be careful, I'm sure she's around here somewhere." Because Ignis couldn't even dare think otherwise.

"I will." She smiled at Ignis's acceptance of her actions though she suspected that he would never approve of her tendency to put herself in danger.

If only he'd known her past. Would he be sad? Trust her more? Or maybe he'd want to keep her sheltered. Naminé was suddenly unsure but pushed the thoughts from her mind, focusing instead on the small black kitten that had gone missing.

"Ebony." She called softly.

As she walked through the room, Naminé began to pick up frames and small knickknacks that had fallen to the floor. She peered beneath furniture and looked for any place that a small creature could have accidentally been stuck, while trying to listen for soft panicked meows.

He wouldn't approve but Namine pretty much already had that figured out. So as Namine walked through the house, his own ears strained to hear Ebony but he hadn't yet. So instead of following the girl he started to try and pick up fallen things such as the books and a bookshelf or two. Things had also fallen from the kitchen shelves but he figured cleaning up would give her time as well as himself.

Ignis being a protector and one who protected women as the code handed down to him that had been unquestioned he would of course keep Namine safe and sheltered along with being sad regarding her past. And while he wouldn't be able to change it there, he could and would change it here.

It was a soft sound at first, a panicked high pitched squeal that was muffled by a collection of odds and ends that had fallen around the couch. "Ignis." Naminé spoke softly as she crawled on the floor to peer beneath the couch. It was there that she saw a black round shadow with a pair of bright eyes. "I think I found her!"

She tried to push at the couch but it was too heavy. Naminé slid a hand under the couch. "I think something has pinned her. Can you lift the couch?" She was small enough that she could reach Ebony, even if the cat wasn't able to crawl out on its own.

Hearing Namine call for him, Ignis moved as carefully as he could to locate the blonde girl. And his pace increased of course when Namine said she'd located Ebony. It was a small discomfort as he pulled and pushed things aside but he finally made it over to where she was and lifted the couch as requested as soon as her reached her spot.

"I'll hold this up, let me know when you have her safe."
