"I don't know yet if it will go sideways," she replied with a small frown. It frustrated her to not be able to know. Maybe she just needed to look more and she'd see more. "It's all dark when I look too far." Back home she could look and see every moment that might lead up to someone's death. Here though it was different and it seemed like threads just stopped along the way. "But if we have friends then maybe it won't be so bad. Things are always better with friends, right?"
