"Probably very different. Unless you have a version of us there that mucked things up," she said with a slight rueful tone. "The place I was at before had a lot of different people from different versions of the same world. I liked learning about them!" And seeing that in some world's Europe hadn't been completely fucked up by a bunch of kids with too much power and too much anger.

"Some even came from completely different worlds altogether!" Those were the most interesting to her. The ones that weren't even from a version of Earth at all. She tilts her head and then asks: "What was your home like?"

His response to her admission about having come from a different place also managed to peak her curiosity. "There's one other person from the place I came from here. I wonder if you met him?" She frowned slightly and bit down on her lip. "Where I was before, they told us when they would send us home. One year. But it was a lie. What they did instead was much worse. But here they haven't told us anything about sending us home at all." And she really wasn't sure if that was better or worse. At least not yet.
